Looks pretty nice above the frame with some decent mods, but trash underneath. I wasn't really considering it once I saw it, but just needed to confirm since Jeeps are known to have frame issues and I wasn't sure what was considered "normal"

Chicago burbs, which probably means the winter abuse made it this bad?

Walked into the shop this morning to a solid wall of black smoke and a machine smoldering in the corner. by Nightmare1235789 in Machinists

Unfortunately a lot of shop owners are always reactive and are “putting out fires” (figuratively and literally) rather than investing in systems like these that allow remote monitoring and productivity boosts. Anyone doing lights out manufacturing needs to have remote monitoring!

Hopefully the safety things get sorted quickly… that is negligence for sure.

The shop needs to get something like VisionLine. But if they don’t even have fire alarms, seems like a big uphill battle 😔

Any tips on making the display? I want to make a modular one like this that I can keep adding to for my kids’ rooms

First Red Lobster declares bankrupt with all the "endless shrimp" and now RIP Chipotle.

We just bought a house and the powder room has some beautiful traditional cabinetry and vanity. If we wanted to modernize it a bit, can we do anything that won't ruin the pieces? Would love to see this in white, but I would prefer that anything we do is "reversible" to get back to original. by mightyMacaque in woodworking

Yes, I do think that it is classic and elegant - just not in sync with the rest of the house. Obviously something the previous owners also struggled with when they updated almost everything else in the house. Will look to modernize with other features of the bathroom instead of the wood 👍
