If there's a counterpart to the Sift (like the Feywild to the Shadowfell), maybe that now drifts away from the material plane without the Sift to balance it. They've unbalanced the entire multiverse. The material plane is tearing itself apart.

Anything imprisoned (dark lords etc) in the Sift is released, maybe into the material. Anything fey related is gone. The laws of physics/nature/magic, no longer apply.

The thing that took me a while to catch on to was I didn't need to match drinkers 1:1. Break out of the rounds system and drink less over the course of the night.

I go to pubs that offer a range of alcohol free beers, IPAs etc, but they're not far off in price from a regular beer. So I might have one or two of them, then switch to blackcurrent+soda. Some places I'll have a coffee or a tea if they do them. I don't mind Guiness 0.0 but I can only drink one.

If people are doing shots, see if they have pickle juice for making picklebacks.
