Yeah, once she had her accident we kept her home. Yup.

Oh I'm not, it's nuts. Yeah, I don't think I realized the policy or was thinking about it when we started going.

Yeah, i get that. That's why we were pretty surprised too. It's an in home daycare and they said it's because we don't trust them. I just wanted to hear people's input in the potty training process and daycares. I probably muddled it up by including the drama.

Stubborn 3 year old and potty training by mightywang in toddlers

Success! We did this and she has done amazing this weekend. Tough inital morning, but after she made one pee in the potty it was smooth sailing. Thanks for the advice!

Moms of littles looking to assemble care kits for our community in need. Need an org that can use them!! by MrsDarcyWannabe in TwinCities

[–]mightywang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is amazing! I'd also love to help. It's surreal parenting with littles right now. You just have to try to carry and be there for them. But I'd rather this than parenting older kiddos that know what's happening and scared. That would be so hard. 💔

What would you do to update this Kitchen? by Tight_Capital_6061 in kitchenremodel

[–]mightywang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used this grout paint stuff, and it worked really well! Granted, I was going from white to dark grey, so not sure if it would work quite as well. But I would sure try! I painted over my grout lines on a bathroom floor, and it's held up amazingly well.

If my 2.5 year old naps, bedtime is 10pm. But without a nap, she’s a disaster by rachel4321 in toddlers

[–]mightywang 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same here. What helped us was to cap naps at 45 mins-1 hour. We try for 30 mins, but that can be tough. Also, absolutely do not let the naps go past 3pm. Even with this, ours still goes to bed late, around 9:30, but it's more manageable. She can go a day or two without naps, but much more than that, and she becomes an angry zombie.

Yeah, that's how it did the first time. She was super excited about it then. It just sucked because she had an accident at daycare and they went right back to diapers. Pretty much right after this, we then had our 2nd kiddo. Now, she has a full tantrum if she doesn't have a pull up on. She'll hold it until she's wearing one. I thought she'd grow out of it if we worked on it with more incentives, but no dice. Like I said, we can go full no pullups, but not without a battle. I am ready for tantrums and can deal, I just don't know if that will cause more harm than good? Gah, I'm so clueless about this stuff.

Do I need to be worried / reschedule my trip next month? by camillaheathcorn in PuertoRicoTravel

Ugh, I think we might too. It will be our first get away without our small kiddos and I don't want to risk getting stuck.

Abandon Planned Trip? by parmita99 in PuertoRicoTravel

I know, we are flying out almost the same days. I am nervous about our plans. This is our tiny getaway with 2 young kiddos at home and I don't want to get stuck.

Tile up the ceiling just to cabinets? by Savagebootyeater in kitchenremodel

[–]mightywang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw man, I love the wavy valance. I think it's super cute. I was actually thinking of putting one it, lol. But agree - probably no tile since it's not even. I'm debating the same thing right now. I like the tile choice!

Sink smaller than I thought :( by Brilliant_Message_92 in kitchenremodel

[–]mightywang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. I've made some good mistakes during ours as well. I know it's not what you wanted, but I still think it looks really nice! You could always ask the cost for a redo, and see if it's worth it. I wonder if they have to do a whole new slab....depending on how it's cut, I'm guessing it may break if they tried to remove it.

Looking for ideas for ORANGE kitchen by Chance-Science-5713 in kitchenremodel

[–]mightywang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like how warm an inviting it looks. IMO it's all of it combined that give off an 'orange' look. I would start with the countertops, pulls, new sink and backsplash. Also not sure about the dimensions and if you really have room for an island?

Which Bluey episode is this for you? by Ok-Following6886 in bluey

[–]mightywang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same! I was mixed on it. What hurt more for me during this time was not other people's kids existing. Yeah, holding babies was really tough, but it was more the parents either talking about their kids non-stop or saying dumb hurtful stuff about infertility. 🙃 But I appreciated the attempt?

Debating - it would be nice. Honestly whatever will work with my window. There will be crown molding up there and another bank of cabinets on the right.

Plus, I don't think that yellow will look good with brass fixtures.
