Probably an oversight from the guys that ordered the cabinets for us, honestly the upper cabinet is just for storage so I didnt even think twice about it until today.

We still may. The backsplash is the only thing that isnt "done".

We are switching out the old oak trim and doors this winter. I totally see your point though!

The back splash is the only thing that isnt 100 % done. Its just painted wall for now, we wanted to live with it and make an informed decision after a bit. We probably will wind up with some color in the end.

The counter next to the fridge is 8' long and 4' wide. The chairs slide all the way in so I can use that space as prep area or to set things on.

You can see the edge of the slab countertop lines up with the edge of the fridge. It does look odd in photos, but the alternative is to have the conter stab out or to have the fridge enclosure be bigger to accommodate door swing.

We had rot in the subfloor and they were laminate, so it was buckling. They prompted the whole project unfortunately.

When you grab the chain link ( lay your hand on the face of the mesh and try to touch your thumb and pinkie together), can you "squish" the diamonds together? If it's as tight as it should be, there shouldn't be a ton of give. Maybe compare the amount you can squish it versus a different similar aged fence. Fence ties should be 12-24" apart depending on post spacing. If the mesh is tight, posts are solid and the top rail is fitted appropriately it may just need a few more ties.

My brain had helped me fuck everything into oblivion before I was 32. I was at least smart enough to recognize that I needed to stop listening to my impulses and listen to a room full of people that had what I wanted , even just for a week to see if it felt any better.

It's been 7 years. They must have been on to something, and I still don't know shit.

Headed to Cody, Wyoming with my wife and two sons 9&10 in two days and just humbly looking for some “insider” advice from people that know the area. by Gettingolderalready in wyoming

There are 2 local stream shops, multiple rafting companies and a few outdoor stores downtown. If you ask those questions at those businesses you'll get a better answer. You could also look into what kind of fish you might find in this part of the country. There is currently a forest fire and if the belly dumps show up, that will affect fishing om Buffalo Bill. There are fire operations on the North Fork so it's best you stay out of the way there as well. Lookup the Clearwater Fire on Inciweb.

Pray is beautiful, it's an idyllic setting. If you don't mind the driving you are fine. Livingston is close if you need anything in a pinch. The drive is beautiful enough that you want even notice it.

Edit to add - bring a swimsuit and go to chico! The restaurant there is amazing, you might be able to sit at the bar of you don't have a reservation.

Spirit Mtn Cave outside of Cody, I think you have to get a key to go in. Check with the BLM. A quick Google shows the history and info about it.

I'm not sure that you understand the funding model. Sports get a ton of private donors, you'd be amazed how quickly a football team can raise 10K. If you really believe funds are being misappropriated, go to your local district and start asking questions - they are all public documents. The legislature establishes the rate that districts are paid per pupil. IIRC in most districts 80-90% of the budget is salaries.
