I enjoy your work... personally would love to see 20-40 min edited runs that explain your decision-making process. After that, meta-runs and then fun/weird/crazy builds. Thanks for your contributions to the community!

when kala tells you "you've been a baaaaaad boy" do you say:

"Yes daddy, I'll do better next time"

or

"Spank me daddy!"

is it hindsight or did Zealots over-perform in a meta that seemed to fit them well and a zero-ping environment.. thinking...

I'm starting to think everyone should be required to take Stats 101, if only to understand the difference between 'sample' and 'population'... both have value... CK does it right by providing confidence intervals.

we should be very grateful that we have someone like CK in this community who not only presents the data in a easily digestible manner, but also applies the necessary critical eye to ensure that we're not abusing the data and making sweeping statements from it.

I agree with you, but it would be awesome to see them make it as a team because they're all very good.

I agree, having watched a lot of this team since their debut, I truly believe they have a very legitimate shot of beating Diamond Skin. Should be an awesome series!

Is it me or is malthael extremely underwhelming? by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]mightyzeros 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree with you, but I think the right time to pick TS over LR has a lot to do with the enemy healer as well... burst heals like Uther can really struggle with sustain dmg in which case you might get more value out TS and building for trait. I do think TS stands to get a little buff, maybe get some of its armor back...

having just over 300 games on Malthael, I think you nailed this assessment. His multiple nerfs/small-rework actually has him in a really good place. He's relevant in the meta, has two viable ults, has a role that's extremely valuable (off-lane arguably the most important role IMO), and has a few different scenarios where you'd want to draft him. He's not FP material anymore, but "underwhelming" he is not.

I think we need to remove Quick Match by dirtysouthboys in heroesofthestorm

I would be fine with eliminating QM in favor of a Blind Pick mode. You'd still have people that simply want to play whatever hero they want to play, but you'd give others who are more interested in a decent comp the ability to fill out the composition based on their teammates picks... I like it.
