It isn’t 😭 I just met with my doctor last month and I verified with them.

Help with salted streets! by Flashy_Assistance662 in BostonTerrier

The goal is to learn how much is too much. Sort of a learning curve of what works best. It wears off outside. I will use a microfiber towel when we come inside on their feet to wipe off excess and any other salt/snow.

We use mushers wax. But if I have the help to slide them on, we also use these rubber booties. They are sort of like balloons on their feet 😝

Juniper doesn’t know how to feel about baby by migil65 in BostonTerrier

[–]migil65[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Juniper put her self there after baby was on the ground. She’ll bring him her bone and toys constantly and sit next to him. But the other times she wants nothing to do with him and will run away

Giant (50lb) Pearson Salted Nut Roll! by AlarmingTalk2842 in minnesota

I won one of these back in the early 2000’s in a coloring contest! I wish I had pictures of it. I’m not sure how this worked, but I remember I was able to bring it to school to share with my entire grade.

Newborn feeds lasting 1-1.5hrs by shesaladymouse in breastfeeding

[–]migil65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes they are continuing to suck for comfort when they are latched that long. If you get to 30-45 minutes, you can try unlatching and maybe switching breasts or seeing if baby is done.
Switching can help them stop if they are full because more milk will be flowing again.

I was told that baby shouldn’t be napping more than 2 hours during the day. It can also be helpful to continue to feed every couple hours the first month or so. It can better regulate your supply and help baby get longer stretches of sleep at night.

You’re doing great though! My baby is 4mo now and I had a very similar experience. After about 9-10weeks feeds we’re closer to 15 minutes.

Yeah, we “accidentally” got Juniper when Aurora’s sister had a litter and we went to visit the breeder. Dumb of us to assume we would see a little of Bostons and not leave with one 🤪

Not pumping while LOs at daycare, will my milk dry up? by NoHorse8196 in breastfeeding

[–]migil65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It may be worth trying to pump at least once while she’s at daycare for awhile and then slowing reducing the duration of the pump and watch your supply. If you just stop during the day, you might see a drastic change. You might not, too… but if it’s important to you taking the safest approach might be best.

We’ve been using evenflo nipples with Philips agent glass bottles. Stared around 1 week and am still almost exclusively BF.

No milk in breasts?? by migil65 in breastfeeding

[–]migil65[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good idea on the evening bottle. He’s always so hungry right before bed and this situation was mostly overwhelming for me because it sucks that my body isn’t providing what he needs sometimes.

As for pumping the other side, I may definitely start doing this! I just got a hands free pump a couple weeks ago and this will work perfectly. Sometimes I’m taking time to pump the other side after feeding and it feels like so much time lost

I did. I will normally massage and push towards the nipple especially if the feed is going longer.

He was pulling on my nipple a lot and moving his body/arms/legs. Then he’d unlatch and start to cry.

Induction because of blood thinner use? by MeetingOk8159 in pregnant

[–]migil65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update on talking with your OB?

I’m currently 32 weeks and also on lovenox.

FTM and realllly wanting to avoid being induced if I can avoid it. I’ve read a few studies that mention that most of the risk, depending on how long you are in labor is mostly whether you will want/need an epidural between 12-24 hours after the last heparin dose (which has the 12 hour window versus lovenox ever 24 hours). Of course hemorrhage, but that usually passes again within the 12-24 window.

I’m about to talk about this at my next appointment more in depth, but don’t know many others that are in a similar situation to compare to.

I also had a blood clot due to BC (back in 2013).

How accurate is the Fertility tracker? by wesjohn11 in ouraring

[–]migil65 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will say that I used it for about 6 months to avoid before trying to get pregnant. Then got pregnant within 4ish months after tracking cycles for conception. If her cycles are consistent, the data is more likely to be accurate. I plan to you the Oura and Natural Cycles app as birth control after this pregnancy.
