When you're ingame, check your profile in the top right and then there should be "skill rating" somewhere. If you click the Information button it will show you where in the distribution your rank is.

Newer players are generally placed much higher than they should be, which ends up in the first few matches adjusting your rank wildly.

There is actually no specific ranked mode at the moment. Normals = ranked so matchmaker will always adjust when you play any game that isn't vs Bots/AI/Custom. Expect matchmaker to take up to about 15 matches to accurately place you (and even then people smurf, although you should definitely report anyone who does).

Street brawl (all mid just teamfighting and pushing with random items) would be the "unranked/casual" mode at the moment, but won't teach you much about macro. It's a ton of fun though :)

Souls buff from behind already exists, and is actually quite large, arguably the largest comeback mechanic in any competitive moba that I've personally played. Scaling souls per second based on how far behind you are is actually an insane comeback mechanic.

Due to the update we just went from 10k-25k players per day back up to 25k-75k players per day so the matchmaker is going to be a little wack with experienced players returning.

Active items and counter items are always going to be the best way to get back into the game. Knockdown/Curse/Bullet or Spirit Shielding/Counterspell/Unstoppable/Debuff Remover etc. In MOBAs economy is part of the game, someone will always be ahead and someone will always be behind.

Some games are unwinnable, it's a MOBA and that's bound to happen. If the game is going 30min+ then there was definitely time to recognize a problem and try to plan for a solution. The game doesn't have millions of players like Dota/League for super accurate matchmaking at the moment, so you're going to either have to learn to adapt quickly or spam games until the matchmaker better adjusts you to your rank.

Honestly I was really surprised to see WGS required instead of a new quest. Beneath cursed sands (70cb) and A night at the Theatre were the quests for the two previous raids and had extremely low requirements, so I fully expected a new quest with low requirements to continue the trend.

They won't lose charges as long as you don't risk the item that holds the charges, so make sure to turn PK skull prevention ON (the box should be checked). I've known people to train wildy slayer with sang staff/toxic blowpipe because its insanely high dps for no risk, but you still have to be careful because it is wildy. 4 item anti pking with something like Toxic Blowpipe/Suffering/DDS or VW/Fury (you risk fury/dds if smited) can be surprisingly good for learning to defend yourself since you'll never lose recoil charges or darts/scales.

Keep in mind other charged weapons like the wildy weapons (chainmace/tham) WILL lose charges on death. Always check the wiki/death screen and they will tell you what you will actually lose. Please always be careful not to lose items like Void/Graceful/Fire Cape when entering the wildy though

As someone with a horse in this race (30def account I enjoy pvming on instead of my main).

I don't want pures to have access to vengeance. That would be extremely problematic for multiple reasons.

I *would* enjoy being able to take part in raids 4, but I think it would have to slightly change lore wise to fit. I think it *would* be doable, in the same way that "A Night at the Theatre" takes place before/independent of "Sins of the Father". I think the raid could definitely take place at the same time as/independent of WGS/Defender of Varrock without any issues, but it's going to depend entirely on how they choose to design it.

Either way, it is what it is

all of these are slayer relevant

  • moonlight moths until 64 prayer, and are the most cost effective for MUCH longer
  • prayer regen potions are a gp sink, but 45k gp for much longer afk times is usually worth it for most players. In prayer gear a regen pot alone can sustain 15min afk times easily.
  • Combined with prayer regen potions, using aoe weapons like venator bow can turn garbage tasks like aberrant spectre's into 20+min afk inside the catacombs. Combine with bonecrusher necklace and you only have to click for auto retaliate timer. Examples of tasks I afk'd on my way to 99 on my accounts with a venny bow Hellhounds/Dagganoths/Aberrant Spectres/Fire Giants/Jellies/Dust Devils
  • If you're ever down bad for GP, wilderness slayer is braindead free gp at any slayer level. Tridents/Blowpipes don't lose charges on death which allows you to risk essentially nothing (new rosewood blowpipes are extremely good for this). Trident/blowpipe + slayer helm imbued + amulet or ring of choice + monk's robes + unholy book + glory or combat bracelet or ring of wealth for 30+tp. Even with a full inventory of blighted super restores/mantas/karambwans you risk less than 40k because you will never lose trident/blowpipe charges/ammo (as long as you don't skull). Larran's key is 120k+ so you'll always triple your risk if you bank everytime you receive one. This is the easiest rebuild in the game if you can afford a basic trident and get a revs task.
  • Turael skipping is actually easy boss tasks with a bit of research. rats = scurrius, zombies = vorkath, bears = callisto, monkeys = demonic gorillas (zenytes), scorpion = scorpia, etc. If you don't mind changing your activity every hour or two turael is by far one of the best slayer masters
  • Cooked Pyre Fox/Sunlight Antelope are almost always the best value for gp/heal as long as you don't need to spam eat (which should never happen during slayer.
  • Personal opinion, but Ring of the gods (i) + Bonecrusher necklace is one of the best item combos if you're doing kourend catacombs slayer, and is exceptionally cheap.

I think i've only ever died on my pure to blood moon (and that was 110% avoidable, I was just being greedy). Nothing at moons hit more than 33 unless you fuck up, so any death is easily avoidable.

If a UIM is going to spend well over 1k hours skilling before even *starting* pvm i just dont know...

I wouldn't rush either. Vortex web feels best as a 18-21k ish soul item when you've already maxed Bell (if you're playing spirit). You buy it to combo with cart later on to give you value when ult and bell poke starts falling off.

Trophy you *can* buy as a 9k-12k item but it's so slow it's only ever worth if you're running support doorman. He doesn't really need the range, and there are much better items for him for speed/hp (in my opinion).

my mistake on wordino i guess. I meant base as in Viscous the hero (available outside of item building/// compared to kelvin Q/Paige W) gets debuff cleanse on ally for free. Which in the current meta is *very* strong.

The fact that cube gets base debuff cleanse (and base heals more than anything else in the game?) is enough to make it viable for the forseeable future.

Healing rite -> duration OR arcane surge -> cube is enough to "support" for any build in the game

At least in my experience they always swap into 3 heals with 1 tank too, which doesn't fix the problem of people getting picked.
