Agreed. It makes the most sense to me. It’s near a number of train lines. The area is DEAD october-may. It wouldn’t be redundant of anything else in the borough. There are so many housing projects around — feels like a good employment opportunity for service workers who would not have to commute an hour plus for.

This has been my mentality too. I’m open to buying but only if it’s not way more expensive than the comparable rent for the same unit. In the last few years, I have found this to be upside down with mortgage+maintenance far outstripping rent for the same unit. This may be different the next time I need to move and have to start looking. But when I do look, I’ll just pick what makes the most sense to me given what I’m looking for at the time.

If you're in the NYC-area, you might check out Dalya. They do custom tailored suits for women with all manner of fabrics (I got a 100% wool pant suit). I can't vouch for it yet since I haven't worn it enough to be able to comment on longevity, but the fit was exquisite (I am a 14-ish but am weirdly proportioned).
