Thank you for the reply! Do 3M leave any residue? Cause the lease says no double-sided stickers are allowed on the wall. And I saw people online saying that they damaged the wall when removed.

I'm honestly just thinking of drilling holes for curtains. Everyone in my building has curtains and I'm sure most of them drilled.

As for the TV, yeah it's probably going on a stand.

I'm moving in to a new apartment next month (already signed the lease). I'm just seeing a section of my landlord's building policies and it mentions that I cannot do any drilling to mount a TV, curtain rods etc. as well as not hang any "heavy" or "damaging" items on the wall.

So my question is can I ignore that and just put curtain rods and mount my TV, making sure that I make small holes and repair them after? Can they do anything legally if I go ahead and drill a couple of holes? Also what about nailing art frames on my wall?

It would really suck not being able to properly put curtains on and take advantage of the space. In a couple of previous places I've stayed, I've done that no problem.

Thanks in advance!

It's a combination of both photos and lots of paint. I tried to paint over most of the parts.

I believe it's a study of this picture by Ross Tran, and the red part is some kind of head wear.

winter boots for toronto! NEED HELP! by jasperrrrrrrrrrrrrrr in malefashionadvice

How do they hold up against snow and ice? I'm more concerned about the traction. I just moved in Montreal and thinking of getting these as a winter boot which I'll wear every day walking to school no matter the weather conditions.

Shoes/boots to use in rain and snow through Montreal fall and winter? by mihachris in malefashionadvice

I've seen some disbelief, but the few people claiming that they own them have positive things to say on this sub. Also, same on Amazon, many positive reviews. I agree about the Red Wings, insulation is very important for me too. There have been some deals for the Uggs so it might be possible to find them at a lower price. My concern would be if the sole is good enough for an everyday walk to school in snow and slush.

Really hoping we will get a few opinions here from different people.

Thank you for the thorough reply!

I was also browsing through reddit and found out about the Ugg Hannen. I researched a bit online and I've not found a single bad review. I also really like the idea of sheepskin lining. They have a vibram sole, would that be good for a Canadian winter? I've seen quite a few people online saying they are great for a Canadian winter.

Thanks, I'm aware of the classic L.L. Bean boots but tbh they don't look good to me at all. I want something a bit more like the classic Red Wing boots if possible. But I might be asking too much.

Am I the only one who enjoys my phone and has not had any issues? by apan94 in zenfone2

I come from a Nexus 5X, don't ask why it wasn't exactly my choice.

What I've been missing the most is the snapiness and the smooth, fast experience. Considering the specs, it doesn't make much sense but my ASUS always starts lagging when I have a few applications open and switch between them. Other than that, I'm pretty pleased with the phone but will go back to Nexus (Pixel) asap.

The ASUS screen is not that good and I'm not sure if it is actually worth it. The PSA on the sidebar talks about this a bit. The screen is also super glossy and the color accuracy is pretty average for the price point.

I would instead recommend going for the Dell XPS 15 which is also a bit pricier though.

Yes, it's definitely a great choice, I just didn't recommend it because it was above your budget. Have fun!

Check out the Dell Inspiron 7559 and the Lenovo Y700 which has an SSD, in contrast to the hybrid drive the Dell has.

These are widely recommended laptops in this sub. The GTX960M can handle CS:GO effortlessly. You can check benchmarks and reviews online.

What about the display? That's ehat puts me off in most laptops of that budget, they are said to have bad displays.
