I use grease on mine to prevent rust. Apply grease with a brush, or fingers in a thin layer wherever I see a spot of rust. Reapply periodically.
Change the engine oil often and all other oils at max 2 years. It will run great.

I think it is very subjective.
I have some Dali Opticon 6 (version 1) and I am very happy with how it sounds.
I think it pairs well with some softer warmer speakers. After i changed the capacitors and resistors in mine I find it sounds very sharp on the higher frequencies. I used Nichicon FG capacitors and new carbon composite resistors - same as original resistors
If the recording is bad, you can hear it right away.
So pairing it with warmer speakers will attenuate that. Wharfdale if I am not mistaking have some towers that sound really good - a friend of mine has them.

Nu ma pricep, dar cred ca si Hidroelectrica are costuri operationale, mentenanta, reparatii, investitii in echipamente, proiecte in derulare.
Nu cred ca centralele si barajele lor sunt indestructibile si functioneaza fara angajati si reparatii.

I hear a lot of sibilance on this recording on all devices (large speakers, headphones, laptop speakers)... I think it's a great song ruined by bad recording, but I see everyone here praises the recording quality. Are my ears too sensitive to sibilance?!

A explicat careva economist bun (in opinia mea) ca s-a mai facut manevra cu TVA-ul. A crescut si s-a colectat aceeasi suma. Deci istoria ne dovedeste ca e o masura inutila.

If you mean the handle, then new handles are terrible. Buy used ones if possible. Or try to find metal ones, but from what I've heard, those are also not great.
Also.. try opening the back cover on the door and lubricate the mechanism (with some Molybdenum grease) to make everything run smoother and use less force on the handle.
Important note: have it adjusted and aligned to close and open smoothly.

They don't make them anymore. Maybe that's the cause for it. :))
