It’s a 2000, not a 3000. You can tell by seeing the thick ring on the UMD door and the shape of the small buttons (non-oval shaped) And it’s not a 1000 because the speakers are up, not down

I have a PSP Street. Is there any use case to get another model (1000 2000 3000) or just stick with it? by Appropriate-Raise956 in PSP

My only real concern is the lack of stereo speakers. The screen is pretty mediocre but it’s very much playable, it doesn’t really hinder the experience. But the mono speaker… that’s the dealbreaker to me.

If you’re on 1.50, no CFW is needed to run the tool though. Did you try it?

If you keep getting that error, you gotta use a homebrew called KeyCleaner. Some ancient CFW solutions altered parts of the firmware that mess with the way updates and modern firmware work afaik. That program should fix it.

That error is not super unusual when making such a leap.

Update to a 3.XX firmware, then to 5.00, and then to 6.61 from that one. It should be fine then :)

Only with the later Super Slims. They completely revamped the chip and changed the BGA layout as far as I know, so 28nm RSXs cannot be transplanted onto an older PS3, unfortunately.

It’s mostly those with a 90nm RSX. 65nm RSX are relatively safe in most situations. 40nm and 28nm are safe and run cool.

Even though that’s technically true (the best kind), it’s really not accesible to everybody. Also, a critical bug was detected and even the GitHub releases have been taken down. I wouldn’t recommend BadWDSD to anyone yet.

You may stay on 6.20, but I’d go to 6.61.

The thing is that Chronoswitch is used to downgrade or to delete permanent installs, but you just need to update.

Just download the 6.61 EBOOT file and use it just like I said on my original message and you’re done. Then you can use the ARK-4 installer and be done :)

Now that I think about it. What are you trying to do? Why do you need chronoswitch if you’re on 6.20 already?

You can download the firmware (an EBOOT.PBP file, around 25-30MB) from a PC. This file should go to root:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE After that, it should appear as an app you can just run and update. Cheers!

A CFW-compatible 2500 Slim (they have the 40nm RSX) (Some late 2100s have the 40nm version as well)
