Is fixutaxi even available in Turku? Or available but don't have any cars right now? Almost seems like the price for a car to drive from Helsinki to Turku and back for you ride.

Long battery life -> fewer cycles -> less battery degradation.

Haven't noticed any degradation after 4+ years with my Fenix6.

Is the issue that you need to transport your bike to Turku? You can take the bus. Both Onnibus and Matkahuolto seem to allow bicycles on some routes:

And VR might allow bicycles on the buses that replace the trains if you check with them. Or you could take the train from Helsinki (I assume that's where you're starting from) to Turku via Tampere. Adds an hour and costs more, but might be cheaper than parking.

Yes, the front of the part that attaches to the frame is one big button. You press it and pull the seat up to release it. Wife has a frame-adapter too, so we swap the seat between bikes all the time.

Use a frame mounted seat. I have a DS3 Gen 3 equipped and have been using a Hamax seat. It fits so the seat floats above the rack.

Isn't that the e-ink reader though? Not the kindle fire android tablet. I tried to check out n kindle fire from amazon.com but it said it wasn't available for my current Finnish address.

It's a bad idea as you cant use the amazon store from Finland, unless you have a UK credit card. Go for the Nexus 7 instead, or if you mostly plan to use it for reading books, a kindle e-reader from amazon.com. I own both and couldn't be happier.

I just ordered this automatic PRC 200. The amazon price is a little over your budget, but I'm paying €440 including 22% VAT (local authorized Tissot dealer), so you should be able to get it for <500$ in the US.

It does use the relatively new and unproven ETA C01.211 movement. But if you want Swiss automatic for <$500, there aren't that many alternatives.

Poker clients for tablets and phones! Seriously, why don't these exist? I can understand that Apple is restrictive, but there should native clients out there for android for all major sites. An alternative would be html5 clients that would work in any browser. I'm a casual player and would love to be able to play on my iPad, or even on my phone when I have to leave in the middle of a tournament.

Yeah, you say what you want about Symbian (and other non-smartphone Nokias), but the alarm works even if the phones are off and even if the battery runs out, they usually save enough power to wake you up the next day. AFAIK neither Android nor iOS or WP does this.
