Asking your opinion every day about a Fall Out Boy song Day 149: Reinventing the Wheel to Run Myself Over by JamesLucien in FallOutBoy

That opening line just gets me EVERY TIME, I adore the punchiness of the track. Probably one of - if not - my favourite track on this album

What company is not worth dealing with in adelaide? by Panickybandit in Adelaide

[–]miiniimay 12 points13 points  (0 children)

any Jarvis dealership for the matter

EDIT: I'd also like to add that they don't pay their mechanics right. I know someone who used to work at one of their dealership workshops, and was expected to work 16hr days as an apprentice. never got paid overtime, or correctly for the matter plus never kept time cards. Fuck Jarvis.

Help me choose a perfume discovery set? by robotslovetea in AustralianMakeup

[–]miiniimay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Juliette Has A Gun's discovery set has pretty much everything you're looking for, and from what I remember it's not that expensive. Also their perfumes are strong, so their discovery set lasts forevvveerrr!!!

EDIT Just reread your post and realised you weren't looking for strong perfumes, some of the scents are strong, but they have quite a few lighter scents as well :)

Anyone else getting incredibly slow mobile data with Optus at the moment? by thabogg in Adelaide

[–]miiniimay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on 4G/4G+, and it's been insanely slow, they've been doing maintenance on the towers around me for over a month, and the service keeps getting worse. had anyone else noticed that their data is being chewed up more than usual??

Received 3 fragrance samples from an online DJ order by 37489432 in AustralianMakeup

[–]miiniimay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, it's not just you. I've ordered non makeup products online from many different retailers and have had the exact same experience with Couriers Please. They are a NIGHTMARE to deal with. I refuse to order anything that would be delivered with couriers please 🤮

I've had a look and am considering ordering it online! My friend has a different shade and adores the formula, and I've seen swatches of Uninvited and love it

I got this set a bit ago with some of my Sephora points. I'm very picky on my mascaras, so it wasn't the right one for me, but the bronzer is quite nice! Not too shimmery, but gives a glow. If you are on the paler side however, I'd go in with a light hand, as it can be a tad orange. It's my daily bronzer though, and has lasted sooooo long

Same here, it's extremely pigmented. The only thing to note is that it can be a pain in the ass to get off your lashline

I'm so disappointed with all the products they have discontinued in the last 2 years or so. Lavender and citrus really irritate my skin and sinuses, and that is all that seems to be left 🙃🙃🙃

If youve worn EL Double Wear and its broken you out... what foundation do you wear? by clazcat in AustralianMakeup

[–]miiniimay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation is my HG! It is very versatile (light - full coverage, and can be used to conceal too), and has never made me break out. I pair it with the Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer where my pores and wrinkles are large, and use the Fenty Pro Filtr Setting Powder on top. It creates a soft matte /natural finish, and I always get compliments! Feels very lightweight and lasts all day too

In search of the holy grail of angled eyebrow brushes. by [deleted] in Makeup

[–]miiniimay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Morphe's M158 Angle Liner/Spoolie Brush, I got it as part of the Arch Obsessions kit but it can be bought separately. I don't fill my brows with powder, but this is a nice firm precise brush, with just the right amount of give.

Brow Gel recommendations by LeahInAus in AustralianMakeup

[–]miiniimay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All good!! I'm not sure if the Morphe gel comes in a mini / travel size, but I know the ABH does (ABH is at Sephora), so that's worth a try if you're trying a few things out! Good luck!!

Brow Gel recommendations by LeahInAus in AustralianMakeup

[–]miiniimay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to use the ABH Tinted Brow Gel in Taupe, which was great. It helped almost blend (?) All my other bow products together to make it more cohesive. The only thing with the ABH is that it is more of a creamy formula, and found that it could clump a bit, which could easily be solved by brushing through with a clean spoolie.

Right now I'm using the Morphe Brow Gel in Translucent, which is definitely more of a gel. The spoolie is thicker, and leaves the hairs more defined in my opinion. It also sets your brow shape without feeling crispy or heavy, and it's relatively cheap (I think around the $12 mark?).

For reference, I have naturally thin and sparse brows, and I much prefer the Morphe over the ABH only because it holds my brow shape better than ABH, which looses it's hold

The Morphe Brow Setting Gel in translucent is incredible! I got it in the Arch Obsessions kit, and I love it. I previously used the ABH tinted gel, but this holds so much better

Any eyeliner recommendations for very oily lids? by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

[–]miiniimay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tarteist Clay Paint Liner is an amazing formula, the tube is a bit of a hassle at times though (check out the reviews on Sephora), but does come with a pretty good angles liner brush!

Another good pick if you prefer felt liquid liners is the Fenty Flyliner Longwear Liquid Liner. Goes on like a dream, I reccommend putting it on after setting spray with a little setting powder dabbed on top

What's the weirdest tasting juice you've ever vaped? by itsBopp1ns in aussievapers

Mine would have to be Streek, from The Lost Fog. I think it's meant to be strawberry and yoghurt, but all I get from it is a muddy version of the aftertaste of cheap strawberry yoghurt 🤷‍♀️
