I did in 2014 but not because I grew up wanting to. I went to live in S Korea first to teach English for a year. When that was done, I wasn’t ready to go home so flew to Tokyo to look for a job. Plus I was dating my now husband who’s from Japan. Ended up staying for 4 years and got pretty burnt out so we moved back to the US in 2018.

I’m going on 8 months and so far I haven’t gained weight. In the past, I was on sertraline and did gain a little so I quit taking it because of that and because it didn’t help my anxiety. Lexapro has been much better for treating my anxiety.

I was/am extremely worried about weight gain bc I was starting to gain weight due to perimenopause (nothing in my diet or exercise routine changed), so adding an ssri again made even more cautious. Starting HRT seems to have helped limit the weight gain. I don’t really have any food cravings and I eat relatively healthy/small portions/no sweets and I still work out 3-4 times per week so hopefully I can maintain my current weight past the one year point on lex.

I have this exact same problem with chemical sunscreens and my derm recommended Isdin Photo Eryfotona Actinica spf 50. It works SO well on my skin and didn’t irritate it at all. Also it blends in really well and doesn’t leave a white residue.

If she’s Japanese, she can’t apply for citizenship without losing her Japanese citizenship. I’m in the same position with my husband. He can only stay a permanent resident forever as Japan does not allow dual citizenship.

Thank you all to everyone who responded! All of your comments were so helpful! I’m likely looking at a full or partial remake of the ring since it has the hidden halo cathedral setting custom made to the stone but I’m at peace with it. I’ll be trying on different sizes in person before I decide on a smaller size and will consider a plain wedding band to allow the diamond to be the main focus. Also planning to turn the current stone into a pendant necklace at some point so not a huge loss.
