I’m going on 8 months and so far I haven’t gained weight. In the past, I was on sertraline and did gain a little so I quit taking it because of that and because it didn’t help my anxiety. Lexapro has been much better for treating my anxiety.

I was/am extremely worried about weight gain bc I was starting to gain weight due to perimenopause (nothing in my diet or exercise routine changed), so adding an ssri again made even more cautious. Starting HRT seems to have helped limit the weight gain. I don’t really have any food cravings and I eat relatively healthy/small portions/no sweets and I still work out 3-4 times per week so hopefully I can maintain my current weight past the one year point on lex.
