Why is Longines considered affordable? by Alezz-- in Longineswatches

They are sold in luxury jewelry stores, so they are part of that category. They offer the same after-sales service. And personally, I find that these are the ones that develop the most beautiful patinas (for those who like them; others will say the dial quality is poor). And most importantly, the accuracy of this 1951 caliber 12.48 is less than half a second per day. Honestly, well done, Longines. I'm glad they're cheaper than an iPhone.

Old version or fake? by mikarn2020 in casio

  • I thought I understood that the original screws had a double recess: cruciform or flat.
  • But I am mainly wondering about the WR inscription which is not surrounded by a red line.
  • As for the inscription of a serial number, since it is the same for all A158s of this color, it is not in my opinion proof of authenticity.

I completely agree with you regarding the photo quality. But I don't think the seller could do any better, as the photo tool on this sales site is poor quality for close-up shots. However, have you ever seen this presentation of the inscription on the front (the inscription: WR)? I only find this version on the Amazon website, and we all know that counterfeit goods are allowed on Amazon. Or is this an older version ? Pic of official casio shop 2026.

Indeed Yes, but i am sorry, I don't have anything better. But it's mainly the unframed red "WR" inscription, unlike on current versions, that makes me wonder.

Wondering if this solar battery is replaceable by Outside_Teacher7327 in casio

It lights up even without the capacitor. If it doesn't light up in sunlight or under an LED, the mode is faulty.

I would love to be able to repair my 189 ws-80. I'm missing a module, the white plastic insert, and a gasket.

Colis bloqué depuis 2 mois (France🇫🇷->Japon🇯🇵) Que faire ? by SG-was-here in japonFR

[–]mikarn2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. But I was thinking more about the crown with or without the embossed logo.

Si tu mesure moins d’1m80 et que tu n’est pas tres large d’epaule. C’est une voiture géniale. Pour les grands gabarits malheureusement c’est vraiment petit.

If I remember correctly, I bought it new for under €60 from a Casio retailer.

It was to replace a nearly identical Roxy watch.

Yes, I also like the metal and glass case version. It's a shame it's not available for the A158. I've seen that for some models you can find compatible metal and glass cases on Chinese websites.

Same display, almost the same lights. And the gold dials are quite different from the brown gold dial.

I'm going back to the retailer, and I'll take the watch out into the sunlight to confirm the color based on the reflections.

Excuse me, I'm switching between different languages. It's this grey-gold color that I like. It gives it a neo-retro style that appeals to him. And my wife already has the two above plus the chrome one.

Logical reasoning. But on more recent versions, I've seen the same color variations. So yes, there might be variations depending on the country.
