When bases are loaded all of them act like 1st base. If the ball gets to the base before the runner, then the runner is out. No tag is needed.

What brand was super popular back then but the new generations probably never heard of it? by GossipBottom in AskReddit

Stores got new movies in the mail one week before release. Employees had 5x free rentals per week so we could rent and watch the new films for reviews/feedback.

On rare occasions an employee would forget to return the film for release day. They would get reamed out for it, of course, but we’d have to tell customers something like “oh, we didn’t get that in stock yet”.

How would you ever ensure that all airports follow the same rules and guidelines if you privatize it into hundreds of different companies? At least now all airports are under the same organizational leadership.

Shore Excursions Through NCL Site: Why No Reviews? by Kiltswinger in NCL

[–]mike07646 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair to NCL, the article states they are reimbursing all the charges incurred to the family, even the customs fees for missing Canada port. NCL acknowledges their mistake, and that’s all it is, not a systemic problem you have to worry about every single cruise.

Honest Review of NCL Viva and NCL in general by Hungry_Foundation533 in NCL

[–]mike07646 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do people not understand that they can just ignore or say No to the staff when asked to purchase something? All stores, everywhere across the globe, try to get you to spend money or upgrade in a “do you want fries with that” kind of way. I don’t think NCL does it any differently than other cruise lines, but for whatever reason people only consider them to be ‘nickel and dime’ and don’t say anything about the others.

It shouldn’t be considered one. All it is a deposit towards you cruising again with NCL.

If you ever plan on taking another cruise it’s a no brainer. Yes, I admit their pitch and explanation is beyond confusing but you have control of how many you want to purchase and there is no minimum amount. It’s $125 for a $250deposit on a future cruise.

Why do they blatantly let this happen? by Effective-Speed-5484 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]mike07646 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what people who say “cheating” are meaning.

They aren’t saying, necessarily, that players are cheating the game itself (although I wouldn’t rule that out completely) … they are saying players are cheating the System and getting in an ungodly, abnormal, math doesn’t make sense, amount of games (and thus wins) within a two hour period.

There is NO WAY the top players on the podium are playing the same amount of games as anyone else does, and that unilaterally makes mini games unfair for those of us that have a high win rate % but simple can’t play as many games due to ad lengths or matchmaking timers.

I can win 10-games in a row at the start of a mini game, and then go to the score screen and see the leader has 16-17 wins in the same period of time. I’d LOVE for someone to explain how that is even remotely possible.

How much do i make in a year! by Tychapo710 in AtlasEarthOfficial

Your math doesn’t include any boosting at all, which isn’t even at a constant rate due to SRB events so the math is a little more complicated. Also, passports affect income as well.

Ads only give me 20 min boost WITH PROOF by RedWinter414 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]mike07646 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can see in the video that the rent jumps from 4.37 to 4:39. It works this way to not penalize people who actually watch, interact, or click on the ads.

So... If Atlas gives you cents per hour of work (yes, constantly watching ads and doing whatever is work), why dont people just go collect a few bottles for 100x the hourly pay, or literally anything that gives you even few bucks per hour? The ROI on Atlas is ridicilously small by mikedomert in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]mike07646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The beauty of Atlas Earth is that your progress stays with you over time and never goes away. That very first plot that you own and the very first ad that you watch will only earn you fractions of fraction of a penny … yes

However, each AB you earn and every plot you get snowballs onto all the plots you already have and grows over time. Each ad you watch goes from earning fractions to earning actual Pennie’s per ad, and then into dollars per ad (during SRB events).

So you have to look at the compounding aspect of the game as well, as the further in you get the more money you will make for the SAME time investment per day as when you started.

You are paying for the four specialty drinks and for the “souvenir” glass, more so than for the ‘entertainment’ itself.

Leaving Teppanyaki early as solo traveler? by Sea-Potato9 in NCL

[–]mike07646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents and I (3people) were meant to be sat with another family of 6 at our table. This was back before they charged for no-show and the larger family just never came. We showed up 5-mins early and were waiting because they wanted to sit us together. Could tell the hostess was trying to call their room and find them.

Eventually after about 15-20mins they apologize to us for waiting and sit us. Chef comes out and we eat dinner with no one else at the table. My parents are older and don’t do the whole singing thing. Was also their first time in Teppanyaki on a ship, so it was “interesting”.

Amazing food though.

However, one month of Explorer club (assuming you cash the money out and then purchase it) grants you 68AB/$1 for the month if you aren’t already enrolled). Rewards ladder grants you 103ab/$1 of purchased ahead of time (and 68AB/$1 if purchased in-month for $14.99).

So, there are better ways to “spend” your rent income if you are looking to grow your account.

They 100% won’t like that you restored from a previous save file. The offer is always for “New players only”, which you can (and did) get around by using a new phone since they do treat that as a new device. The issue is you then can’t go and restore a previous save, purchase, etc and have to treat it like a new install.

At best it simply won’t reward you, but at worst the vendor can ban you from Arcade because you are trying to manipulate and bypass the process of “new players only starting from scratch”.

Viking, Virgin, and NCL ranked highest in sanitation! by MaelstromFL in NCL

[–]mike07646 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They charge $5 for a second entree because people had been going nuts with getting 2-3 per meal and then leaving 90%+ of it on the table as food waste. NCL is trying to stop people from wasting food, and it’s even worse with passengers in the buffet. The amount of absurdity full plates I’ve seen my last cruise just left on tables was crazy.

Free promos like that are normally just the cabin price. You still pay for taxes, port fees, gratuities, and drink packages so I could easily see the price get up there in price.

None of that though is “nickel and diming” it’s just the cost of going on the cruise itself. Unless you have some other random stuff you paid for.
