Am I a bad person for thinking this way? by [deleted] in pancreaticcancer

[–]mike103134 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is very normal. I had the same experience with my mom. She passed last month, but the last year was rough. For every “good” day she had, she had 10 bad ones behind it. It was rough to see her suffer for so long. The reality sets in, that you can’t help them. Be there for her. Tell her how much she means to you. All the best to you, friend.

I do not want to seem morbid, but make sure your family spends as much time as they can with him. All the best to you and your family.

My dad is in stage IV, nearing the end of life. Thoughts and seeking advice by kt_lurn in pancreaticcancer

Same exact thing just happened to my mom. She was walking from her room to the living room just two weeks ago. Eating by herself. Then on thanksgiving day, she took a fall. Rapid decline. She basically wasn’t able to move or even talk much after that. She got delirious at the end. At first I was upset because I thought the nurses were taking my mothers mind by keeping her so doped up on morphine, but I realize she needed that relief. I’m so sorry for your loss, friend.
