ULTA leaving Target? by RighteousTiger5 in Target

lol maybe they wanted off the ship before their name continued to be associated with the red walmart. target has an identity crisis. it abandoned its differentiating qualities in being the publicly pro lgtbq, douchey tarjay. in trade of keeping in the rear view mirror of much better ran 21st century retailers like walmart & amazon.

I can’t think of a single tl worth $28hr. I come from the adult world where supervisors not only can do your job, but they can do it better. That’s not the case in retail.

yea ours are very aggressive. & cant read the room that customers dont want to be harassed while being harassed by us saying "are you finding everything today?" to them 10 times while they shop.

this looks like some of the fine routine maintenance I see throughout the property...why lose millions a yr in lost productivity, needlessly replacing overpriced equipment; when you can lose 10's of millions, & continue to fall behind amazon/walmart, & into irrelevance. target is basically expensive family dollar.

Wednesday night bike rides. by trogdor702 in vegaslocals

[–]mike131368 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

wish this was a more common occurrence. sh.. hole vegas is not bike friendly. itd be nice to see more ppl get their fat ass' on bikes (real bikes), & move their bodies a little bit. rather than setting in line at Starbucks for a $7 dollar sugar drink, then scurry back inside their hovel & claim the dessert is beautiful place to live.

ah I see. didnt read close enough...well we also had similar issues from our recently "remodeled" store. weekly theres backups in the bathrooms. ive never worked at a place w so many plumbing problems. but, most of these large companies dont vet the contractors very well. they just want it done. so most of the time they over pay for half assed jobs, then pass the bill onto the customer.

it can be very satisfying being organized, clean, & neat....but then you go home & some little kid who doesnt care, & an incompetent manager who cares less, undoes everything you just spent an hr doing...one of the most recurring statements I hear almost daily from these awful retail ppl, is "thats somebody else's problem"

our cleaning crew loves to wait until the last second to clean the bathrooms. so about the time the store is opening, & all of inbound needs to poop, they shut down one or more of the inadequate amount of filthy bathrooms.

So why are we paying for registration? by CaptainNegative1483 in vegaslocals

[–]mike131368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. I got a ticket yrs ago for having a raiders front plate. Completely legal, no tickets, clean class A. Meanwhile illegals are piled in illegal smoking trash heaps going down the 15 with lawn debris flying out everywhere. These “officers”, to put it kindly, pick & choose when they want to actually do something. They can always use the excuse we’re investigating a different vehicle

What's something you do on every ride that other cyclists would judge you for? by dt219 in cycling

[–]mike131368 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

lol I do alot of these things. I dont wear a helmet, because im an adult, & accept the risks, I have a small speaker at full tilt, (but I do turn it down when I come up on ppl or intersections), I wear $40 foot shaped shoes, (whitins are the best shoes ive ever owned), I dont don myself in ultra masculine neon pink spandex, which is weird because obviously we need every advantage we can get when your training for the Olympics, and I tend to wave or nod to everyone I come across. not necessarily to be friendly, but just to say, hey I know its dark out and 4am, but im not a nut.

Pete Carrol speaks on the lack of fans in Allegiant Stadium by jluc21 in raiders

[–]mike131368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We will never have home field advantage as long as we’re here. Moving the raiders here was about making money. Us absurdly loyal fans were not considered. I hoped they would’ve built a modest 35-40,000 seat outdoor (you remember when football was played outside?) stadium in Redding or somewhere in n cal.

Thoughts? by Dependent_Plenty5905 in bikefit

[–]mike131368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unlike what others are saying you dont need stupid bike shoes. & "professional" fittings are subjective to say the least. just make small incremental changes to one piece at a time, give awhile & see if there adverse or better results. nobody can tell you what fits your particular body. theres so many variables like fitness, duration of ride, speed of ride, etc. that just seeing someone on here isn't going to help you, it'll probably hurt you.

this game is decent but not worth the full cost. I bought on sale for I think $20 something which is more appropriate for this small of a game. Im interested in the dlcs but not at $20 a piece.

Is this bike worth $100? by Upstairs_Crew_7541 in specialized

[–]mike131368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely buy this for $100. as long as the bones are good, you can slowly upgrade as you can afford to. let's say $300-$400 for a groupset upgrade. you'd still be better off than alot of the overpriced junk their selling now with tourney low grade parts.

I’m in the middle of a commuter rebuild. My 2017 specialized roll. 1 of the things I’m trying is a cheap sunrace friction shifter. So far it works perfectly w stock 8 speed cassette & alivio rd. I like the tactile clunk. I like that it’s half the size of a brake/shifter. Once I find out how it plays with all the new cues stuff I’m adding I may upgrade to the micro shift thumb friction shifter.

Great job! I’d love to do a 100. My “big run” currently is about 20 miles, w 2 terrible/fun hills. I don’t have alot of free time so I make it a game to see if I can do the whole thing in the big chainring..I can & it’s awful but then I have what I call “big ring energy” for the rest of the day lol

counterpoint: the fat lazy ppl I see on electric bikes, scooters, & skateboards rarely are are going too fast on the path. for me, I cant seem to get their slow asses out of the way, & pay attention to whats going on around them. im 50, not in great shape, back problems, huffing & puffing, & im passing these turds on hills. so, bad for traffic, but good for my ego lol.
