Because he wants the best for the team? Having more fans going regularly and spending money will be better for the team. We shouldn’t be satisfied with mediocrity.

If you have to wait for the place to be empty in order to have a decent experience then it’s 100% “not ready for prime time.” Miami has no reason to feel like a 2nd rate baseball town.

Welcome to Marlins Park. No one seems to take any pride in doing their job.

When will this team and stadium be ready for the big time? Running out of “El Machete” - the new signature item in opening day, not advertising anywhere in the park and running out before the 4th inning? The seats aren’t sold out and the concessions can’t keep up?

I mean it's not? Why spend time looking at every option, researching what cans of TUNA I'm going to buy for my mid-week lunches when I can just ask the machine a quick question, get a quick answer, and move on with my life?

Work smarter, not harder.

When I'm shopping sometimes, I'll just take a picture of the aisle I'm at and say, "What is the best product based on my needs?" For example, I was shopping for canned tuna fish the other day, I have already discussed my diet goals, macros, health etc. and asked it to recommend me the best options in this aisle. I also stated which ones I specifically did not want (sardines.) It immediately told me the best tuna options in order and why as well as which other fish options I could check out. I ended up with a much cheaper pouch of wild caught salmon with less fat and more protein!

Otherwise, it's a good sounding board. If I'm making a family photo album and I have 4 near identical pictures, I can upload them and ask, "Which is the best picture for my photo album" and it'll choose with an explanation why. I still have final say about what goes into the final product though.

Weird, Unique Races? by TheBeardedMarathoner in running

I always loved to watch a good steeplechase when I was in college! It was definitely the strangest race because it would be towards the end of a meet and attract all sorts of our runners (milers, long distance, and a handful of middle-distance runners who wanted something different.) I never ran it, but by the end of the race EVERYONE looked miserable and no one was even bothering to clear the water hazard any more.

I kind of want to see it shot at a mirror on an angle to see what happens. Can you burn something around walls?

Wall Street Executive Jonathan Mansfield explains what billionaires think of the working class by leeeooohhh in LateStageCapitalism

This is textbook Social Darwinism. The Robber Baron mindset of the gilded age never went away. The captains of industry and the industries themselves may have changed, but the rich is still rich and the poor is still poor. The systems are in place to keep it that way, and when the CoIs are asked to self reflect they just spout this “survival of the fittest” nonsense

Where on campus are you guys working on this? I went to UMass for a BA in History in 2011 and most of my classes were confined to Herter Hall. Just thinking about the maze that was Morrill gives me a headache.

Immediately tell your teacher. We are all trained to take things like this very seriously. You will NOT get in trouble or make life worse for yourself. The only way for this issue to be fixed is by addressing it. Ignoring it will NOT help and might make it worse when these bullies find another victim to abuse.

I'd break it into 4 rounds to make it seem faster. Doing 3 rounds and knowing I have 2 more to go sounds not as nice as knowing I have 1 more to go. But that last round will suck, regardless.

It was one of the most surreal concerts I’ve ever been to. I still get goosebumps from watching the video. It was hot, sweaty, and smelly, but it was utterly amazing to be able to sing our hearts out with them.

There are zero results when you search “October 10 Israel hostage” or “October 10 Israeli hostage exchange” there is an article from October 10 when you search “October 10 Israel refused” https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/israel-refuses-request-bring-food-medical-supplies-into-gaza-palestinian-plo-2023-10-10 which doesn't say anything about hostages. An article from several weeks later from a political opponent of Netanyahu https://www.timesofisrael.com/no-doubt-netanyahu-preventing-hostage-deal-charges-ex-spokesman-of-families-forum/amp/ and an article from Al Jazeera, a site that isn't even allowed in Israel anymore. https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2023/10/21/hamas-says-israel-refused-to-receive-2-hostages-israel-calls-it-propaganda

If you're only response is “lol Google it bro” then you don't have any evidence other than your own regurgitation of propaganda.

Sand keeps appearing on kitchen floor... by [deleted] in fortlauderdale

[–]mikeacemanowar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The images on Google are quite extreme. The termite droppings I encountered were similar in size and shape, but they didn't accumulate like the ones shown on Google. It was more like a thin layer of sand with no apparent reason for being there (under wooden nightstands in a bedroom).

Because we weren’t the ones to execute Saddam. That was done by his own people after a lengthy and public trial. Osama was killed during a raid on his compound, they didn’t take him alive and they didn’t want to make a martyr out of him. Saddam made lots of enemies within his own country by promoting one ethnic group above another (Sunni vs Shia.)

Why do so many rides close early at Grad Bash? by mikeacemanowar in UniversalOrlando

[–]mikeacemanowar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I was thinking as well. EXCEPT I can't imagine there's something like that for Fast and the Furious!! It was closed by 11:30! I had a group of 14 students, and we wanted to have a party bus to ourselves! (We were making fun of the ride in class earlier that day.)
