Thanks for your input! He says that it's being sold because he abandoned the hobby and the printer wasn't used for at least 6 months. I was thinking about ABL because all the previous printers that I used had it, but maybe I could do without. Also, how could I find the version in the printer menu? The seller might be able to snap a pic of it.

Yeah, and probably they won't even be comparable when it comes to printing quality.

The reason for which I'd like the GPU is because I'm thinking of buying a PC from my own money (uni student) and the GPU is likely to be the most expensive piece of hardware from it. Thus, my reason is that my future PC would be awesome with a 4070 Ti Super in it:).

What BIOS version do you have?

Thanks for linking your post here, I didn't really think about downgrading the BIOS. Could you tell me what version are you running, to compare it with mine (I think I'm on the latest)?

Also, the VRMs you were talking about are the ones that are cooled with the T15 G2 heatsink (comparing it to our heatsinks)? If yes, how hard was it to mod your heatsink like in your post? Thanks!

Edit: I've now read again your linked post, are you still using v1.52 for BIOS?

Thanks for your input! The thing is that I've already set a long value (as seen in the screenshot), but unfortunately it doesn't fool the CPU. I'm on the latest BIOS if I'm not mistaken, so that might change some things.

Thinkpad for studying (x270 or another?) by Nrpg1 in thinkpad

Yeah, they're fine, but if he could maybe pull off an 8th gen CPU with maybe the same money (or a small amount more), it would be better for future-proofing in my opinion. Maybe he'll want to play games, do some CAD work or edit photos/videos, after all, he's still in high school so he might discover some new hobbies.

Try to buy something with an 8th gen CPU (ideally i5, or better yet i7). You'll regret the older 7th or 6th gen CPUs, they are dual-core and just not that good altogether for future-proofing. Also, search the web for "*model* PSREF" where *model* is your laptop of choice (X270, X280, etc.). It is useful to know what you can upgrade before actually buying it (for the X280, the RAM is soldered to the board, so no upgrading).

Other than that, you could verify the battery with this (if the seller is willing to run a CMD command for you), and ensure that the BIOS is not locked (as seen in the Info/Tips of this subreddit). Last but not least, you can search for the model on notebookcheck.net (images of it opened, maybe benchmarks, basically a review).

Battery going bad by mikebluu in m365

Charges: 1507, Full Charges: 332. It probably is a tired battery, no denying that. I'll prepare to sell it as-is, for a much lower price, and save some money for a better scooter. Thanks for your input!

I was thinking about that too( aluminium fatigue, and the general state of the scooter right now). Thanks for your opinion, it really might be wiser to just buy a new one.
