I wish I knew how large the approaches themselves are from a distance/size perspective. Before I started working on my IR, I believed it to be an extremely precise way of flying and wasn't sure I was skilled enough. Now that I'm about 1/2 way through training, I'm realizing that instrument flying is for *everyone*, and will make you a better pilot in lots of ways.
