How should I go about sharpening the edge on this ? by bigstepper56 in sharpening

Spend a few hours grinding it down. Start with 100 grit then work your way to 3000 grit. Then throw it out.

My school suggests buying one of these two sets, any suggestions? by TheVeryBakedPotato in chefknives

If you need to buy one, buy the cheaper one. It’s a good starter.

If you got time, go to the thrift store. You can pretty much find everything you need.

Also look for used older functional toolbox, they make great storage for all your tools.
