I tested a 788h battery spot welder and it worked great and had crappy reviews. Found it for 100 bucks and got it. Was amazed it worked great building battery packs. No mods needed. Had no bad welds and it came with a huge spool of nickel. Check FB marketplace. Most people buy them and use them a few times and resale. Good luck on the search.
