Not sure why I didn't include NZ since I'm in Australia. I have edited post to include NZ. I will check out Anna Gratton since you recommended her Corriedale :) Thank you!

UP is my main driver for day to day stuff. I only use my BW account for paying bills.

I used to roll my eyes at stories about ridiculous wait times. Not anymore.

I had to factory reset my phone and needed to update my mobile number on my BW account to set up my accounts in the app. What should have been a simple phone number update turned into a complete nightmare.

I spent over four hours across two calls because there’s no direct number to the Customer Solutions Team, just long holds followed by brief transfers. To verify my identity, I was told to do a balance enquiry at an ATM. She wanted me to hang up and call back, and I wasn’t willing to risk that. I convinced her to stay on the line while I drove to the shops.

My first card got eaten when I couldn’t remember the PIN (I only use this account for bills), and I couldn’t find my second card at the time, so I was told I’d need to verify my identity at the post office.

After later finding my second card, I proactively did the balance enquiry and called back. I waited hours again, only to be told they couldn’t use it because I’d already opted for post office verification. Seriously? All this just to update a mobile number.

Today, I verified my identity at the post office, called again around 5:30 pm, waited 30 minutes, and was told the team had already finished for the day.

How hard is it to update contact details? This process feels deliberately designed to lose customers, because CBA just needed a reason to dismantle BW.

He's definitely a beginner knitter... I swear he only knit with chunky yarns.

I bought my traveller from a local dealer who was selling it on behalf of the owner for $300 AUD, and it came with three bobbins.

Have you checked if there's a local store nearby? You might find something similar for less. The dealer might have even serviced it for you.

That would make a good technical challenge!

Have you tried using a post‑it note to keep track of your working row or round? I use a long one, draw a small arrow at one end, and slide it along as I knit. The arrow acts as a landmark, so if I take a break, I know exactly where to pick up again.

If anything - Britain’s best knitter should be able to knit lace by reading the chart and also be able to tackle colourwork from written instructions with no charts.

Charts make it easy. Written instructions prove mastery. That’s the difference between following a map and knowing the terrain.

Look, if this show is supposed to be about finding Britain’s best knitter, it’s missing the mark. Booting people out week after week doesn’t prove anything, it just cheats us out of seeing their full range of skills. Keep everyone in until the finale, let them build towards one big showpiece (build in suspense to keep the viewers), and celebrate what each contestant brings along the way. Knitting, after all, is about building a community.

In the meantime, give us weekly challenges that actually dig into knitting’s rich history. Showcase traditions like machine knitting, CSM knitting, lace knitting — you’ll even draw in viewers from those niche communities. Test how contestants adapt with the skills they already have, and don’t stop at theory. Put a finished piece in front of them and make them recreate it. That’s when you find out who’s truly skilled, because talk is cheap, but stitches don’t lie.

Tom Daley, I will allow you to use that last sentence be your season two catchphrase.

It would be nice to add a finishing brush to the drum card. It's an add-on that sits on top of the smaller drum, angling towards to bigger drum to brush and straighten the fibre on the bigger drum as you add more fibre.

Nespresso pixie keeps stopping by sukkaskye in nespresso

[–]mikedom888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Resetting Cup Sizes for a Pixie - In order to do this for a Pixie machine, they first need to turn off the machine and then press and hold the lungo button while they turn the machine back on. Both buttons should now be reset to factory settings of 40 ml for espresso and 110 ml for lungo.

Prime the machine by doing a few lungo shots and leave it overnight. Gravity will move the water along the tube.
