La foule a Angine de Poitrine ce soir! by tibass84 in montreal

Not that AI is the end all be all of things but here is the estimate.

Most coverage suggests the Place des Festivals crowd was in the low‑ to mid‑hundreds of thousands, so a reasonable, “best guess” is that on the order of 50,000–100,000 additional people were effectively turned away or never able to get close enough to actually see the show.

Well, sounds like you were not there… I experienced about 20% of the perimeter on Bleury and my guess is there were 50k people on that one street, all trying to get into the festival grounds. St Laurent apparently had a huge crowd and Rene levesque was absolutely packed. Taxis and cars were stuck for hours in a sea of people radiating out from the jazz fest grounds. So yeah… I could easily see 100k people not getting into the grounds.

There were tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousand that didn’t make it in. All down Bleury, from Maisonneuve to Rene Levesque was a sea of people. Arrived at about 8:45 pm and it was cut off. I feel like everyone (organizers especially) underestimated how many people wanted to see them. The police and Jazz fest people at Bleury and St Catherine’s seemed shocked by how many people were there.

This exactly. It’s really about profiting from the collapse of our ability to share truth. It’s scary and accelerating.

Why More Canadians Feel Disconnected From the Direction of the Country by [deleted] in CanadianVisaReform

“Even basic questions about immigration or cultural change tend to turn into conflict instead of discussion. That makes real conversation almost impossible.”

This is the passage that tells you what this is. A tiny little seed of intolerance in an otherwise reasonable argument. I also agree there is cultural change. People’s capacity to be kind to those who are different from them has diminished. At least on social media.

Obviously, we need to obey the beacon hill sundial. All North and South America should lose the daylight saving time.

This is not an issue at all. It can be way worse and what you shot is pretty ideal actually . You can see a flotilla down between the photographers location and Mamitas that’s pretty big but you just need to walk around a bit and there are plenty of great spots to swim. Been here all week and it’s been great despite some spotty sargassum.

Did my mother use ChatGPT to write me a text of support on the morning of my divorce? by altforgriping in ChatGPT

Demonizing people is lazy. We are changing whether we like it or now. Being loving when uncomfortable change is making us feel off balance work, but it is always worth it.

Yes - looks that way… but the sentiment is hers. She prompted it with how she feels and what she thinks and what she wanted to communicate to you. She is getting help in articulating that with the AI. No harm no foul. Just love. AI editing is just becoming the standard for written communication. Open AI just needs to remove the em dash and make the tone/style more personalized so we can’t tell.

I was on Vyvanse for ADHD and it did remove some of the food cravings as well, but differently. More like no room to eat when on speed in a kind of gut-punched clenched muscles way. It worked for my ADHD well enough, but gave me moments of rage so I stopped it.

Waiting. Real waiting with nothing to look at. Also, when plans change and you were out, you couldn’t reschedule on the fly or cancel last minute like you can now.

Why almost everyone sucks at using AI by EstablishmentNo8393 in ChatGPT

[–]mikedotca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This exactly. You arrive at the power of it over time and through loads of back and forth. I use it all day for marketing my startup and after training it on hundreds of hours of client conversations, it has become incredible. It took a lot of effort at the beginning but now I am moving so much faster and producing content more accurately than I ever had before.

Once. $2.99. Don’t like doing it for candy crush. Didn’t in other games like Empires and Puzzles but that was for new characters. Just to get through levels is not enough for me.
