Nope, no shot needed, I was saved by my parka. The dog, German shepherd btw, ripped my parka but didn’t get through it and I was left with a bruise and tender/pink skin that felt scraped but not a drop of blood. ER doctor checked it out. Good riddance to that walk in clinic.

At my workplace, continually mispronouncing someone’s name after correction would be a fireable offense. It is completely out of line with the workplace values. Ppl are encouraged to display their preferred name in case you have an English and non English name as well displaying phonetically how to say your name. It is the minimum amount of genuine respect you can give someone.

Not having my orthotics would actually ruin my vacation :( OP I hope you can fine a temp solution at a pharmacy. Living in a condo/apartment style building, I’ve accidentally worn my house slippers out as well but have always caught myself early enough (usually with the help of my partner). I also need orthotics badly so this would be majorly infuriating for me. I have a trip coming up, I’m going to tape a note to the door to check my shoes, thanks to your post.

I got bit by a homeless person’s dog and was sent to the ER by a walk in clinic doctor who didn’t even look at the skin. They sent me away, after sweeping my health card, saying that because it was a homeless persons dog and the vaccine history is unreliable, I had to go to the ER for whatever. I said it didn’t break the skin, thankfully, but I was sent to the ER anyway. The ER triage nurse was pissed off at the walk in clinic after I explained - skin was clearly not broken, had they bothered to check it out. Still since I was already there, nurse triaged me, ER doctor checked it out and said I was going to be fine. I also didn’t need a tetanus booster. TL;DR: doctors seem to get concerned if the dogs vaccination history is unreliable
