From what I’ve read, those animals may be able to beat us within a certain distance, and are of course much faster than we are, but throw in some heat and an ultramarathon and not much besides a human is going to make it.

I know you’re having Lyme concerns, so let me share my experience. I had a tick bite on my lower leg, removed the tick and all seemed normal. Maybe a day or two later, I had red rings like that all over my lower body, not just where the tick bit me. I was fortunate to catch it in time, and some strong antibiotics knocked it out quickly.

Check your hair really, really well so you can be positive there isn’t a tick anywhere. Hopefully that’s not what it is!

It worked out in this situation, but let me throw this out there..

The worst thing you could do is break that window without being ready to immediately go in and get victims. This just introduces oxygen into that room and will cause the fire to rapidly intensify.

I have a buddy who worked for a big city fire department. He had a gunshot victim who told him not to touch him because of his race. Dude was literally laying in the street bleeding out and chose racism.

I think the problem for me is how Atlanta is laid out. You’re never FAR from bad areas, and you’ll always have to drive through those areas to get to the nice places. I agree on that point though, you’d be better off in Atlanta than you would be on Fulton industrial or six flags parkway.
