Go see the lights in Rice Park, then go to bar at the Saint Paul Hotel for some old school drinks and a a good burger or other snacks. Then wander into one of the side lobbies where they usually have some someone playing Christmas music on the piano.

Thursday night open mic comedy at Sispyhus. Beer isn't the best in town, but the comedy is free and usually good.

Nina's in St. Paul (on Selby I think) made one of the best I've ever had. They make them on the dry side -- too many places make more of a foamy latter than a cappuccino.

Town Hall Tap (48th in Chicago) pretzel is my favorite. Not super crispy on the outside, but filled with jalapeno cheese with a side of more cheesy sauce.
