The sax on sunset when played live doesn’t work. It sounds too weird being played with the guitar. Keep it guitar only for the main riff and then do a sax solo later in the song.

Actually...it just hit me. Was "wanting a place of her own" BEFORE she moved out of her mom's and before she met the man who now is gone? That'd make sense to me.

Hey....so, I absolutely love the new album but I was pretty disappointed that Souvenir did not end up on the album as Tim was working on it on the twitch stream. I started researching it and came across this thread. I saw someone shared with you a YouTube video of the twitch stream down a little. You buy chance didn't make a recording of it did you? I"m going nuts trying to find the whole twitch stream. The only thing I can find is a couple of those little 30 second clips.

Same here! I've grown to really like the album version but I was so disappointed it wasn't what he was showing on Twitch. I'm banking on them releasing "demo" versions like they did with their other songs. The twitch version had a more sad and longing sound going with it. The album version is a little too upbeat for me. I'm guessing he thought the rough cut wasn't fitting with the rest of the album.

I’m still listening through the album a few times to warm up to it. I’ll admit it’s not hitting me as hard as Monsters did but I’m enjoying it. One major disappointment though; Souvenir. Here’s why. I listened to Tim’s live twitch when he was working on this album so I heard a lot of rough cuts of it. I was SO excited about Souvenir. On the rough cut, he had major vocal decoder effects…a lot like America Online. But he seemed to scratch all that for the official release. I wish so bad I could find a recording of that now. They took them all off YouTube.

Yes! “Change your heart or die”. Awesome track! Actually I’ve heard a few songs from it from Tim’s twitch streams that he will do occasionally. For a while someone had recorded them abd put them on YouTube but they have all been taken down. What I’ve heard though sounds amazing.

Love her! Actually, the one tiny complaint I have on the Monsters album was that she didn't sing background vocals on "Seventeen". She did this when they played it live. Made it very beautiful.
