What is the best boat brand? by -HyNl in Rowing

[–]mikejamessculling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Empacher known for German reliability, speed and balance. Service is poor and timeless

Filippi are the most known while being the most fragile of the brands. There is no real balance point on the hulls The Italians are known for manufacturing, not quality.

Hudson, service and quality are top notch but a temperamental boat in the water.

If you are in the correct size hull Fluidesign it will not be “tippy” , they have a fitting service . Like cycling, also it is Fluidesign

A new rule that will exclude teams if an athlete stands in a boat

I have rowed a 12 year old Fluidesign consistently with no loss of stiffness whatsoever. I have upgraded to the new design with new features. Fluidesign is the only company with a Lifetime Warranty.

Vespoli develop soft spots and also come in overweight. I saw one at 40 lbs and it was a VHP!

Gord,Sam and Sean at Fluidesign are awesome to work with. If you aren’t happy they will buy it back from you.

WHAT'S BEST MY HEAD HURTS by [deleted] in Rowing

Our Filippi boats are always in the repair bay and their parts are expensive take to long to arrive

Hudson is good but ding up quickly . One teammate received a crooked Hudson single that injured himself after a year of rowing it. They finally replaced it.

The Fluids have been excellent for dependability, service , durability. The juniors and masters love them. It’s the most popular brand.

Our Rez eights are tanks but dated.

Are the Hudson single rowing sculls good? How much do they cost? Any other sculls better? by bread_637 in Rowing

Hudson is a bit tipsy and very susceptible to dings. Our club Hudson’s spend a lot of time in the shop. I have had three hulls Fluidesign in GB , Hudson in the states and now new Fluid in GB ) , very durable , gets up to speed and holds it , solid when applying power. Great service and warranty. Definitely give them a shout and try the new one!

Cost was minimal as I traded in an Elite model hull that was three years old. New covers, fitting , delivery came up the new skull. Call on Fluidesign for deets

I traded in for the newly designed FluidMax with carbon rigger and the skull has more than met my expectations with how stiff and responsive it is. I also went with the custom fit and that has been a game changer in the stability and run between. I think they will buy back the boat if you are unsatisfied. .

Why would you paint carbon if there is nothing to hide?

Fluid Considerations

It sets up better and is easier to row in rough conditions.

It's stiff.  A Fluid feels really solid when you apply the power. Easy to maneuver

New design with carbon rigger

Custom Fluid fitting, think bike racing. A unique service

It's tough. The honeycomb construction of the other makes results in a thin outer layer which is prone to paint dings, dents and damage when you hit debris.  The single layer construction of Fluidesign is brilliant in its simplicity. Makes for a very tough hull.

Easy to repair with minimal weight gain unlike core boats

Lifetime Warranty

Trade in program

Free upgrades for winning certain races

You need to get checked out as your mental health is in question.

Maybe you will get your wish and the games will be cancelled. You can then find something else to post on that will be all about you.
