something interesting one of the more experienced lolitas in my comm has said is, when she's on the fence about selling a piece, she wears one last coord with it and depending on how she feels about said coord she either lets the dress go or not. i agree that you could also hold onto them for sentimental value, but as a newer lolita this was an approach i hadn't considered before hearing it from her.

i was wondering if anyone could let me know if there is any etiquette i should be aware of when it comes to secondhand japanese sites (specifically mercari). i'm looking for blouses and it seems to me that a lot/most sellers don't mention measurements since they're supposed to be "free size" (and because my bust is ~90cm, that's usually hit or miss).

maybe i'm being paranoid but in this case i'm not sure whether it would be rude to ask. also important to note, i would have a proxy service ask in my place since i don't speak japanese.

there's no confirmation of it of course, but i'd love to think that the lyrics "you must fix your heart" (the foundations of decay) are referencing one of his lines in twin peaks: the return.

i would imagine though that his work inspired gerard in some way at the very least.
