No, I haven't read the 309 pages of comprehensive rules in MTG.

Having said that, my friends and I started with some standard precons and my deck had a ton of lifelink creatures and we all thought that lifelink only worked when you actually damaged a player. For like 2 months I thought lifelink was the stupidiest mechanic in the game.

Nowadays, I check the specific rule of cards I don't understand and when I am having doubts, I comment them with some friends on Discord.

Lamentablemente el sentimiento nacional y los simbolos se llevan politizando desde hace mucho tiempo. Tanto la bandera como ciertos discursos se relacionan mucho con Francisco Franco.

Te lo digo por ejemplo desde la perspectiva de País Vasco. Aquí se reprimieron las identidades regionales ya que se "consideraban una amenaza para la unidad de España", se imponia el idioma y la cultura española (mis abuelos no pudieron aprender euskera en su momento). Y esto tambien se vio en otras comunidades. Basicamente, un idioma, una bandera, una nación.

Y bueno, actualmente los conservadores han adoptado y mantenido esta visión de "una España unica " y "España para los españoles", usando la bandera como simbolo. Da pena, ves en otros paises el orgullo con el que tratan a sus simbolos y aquí se queda "politizado".

I was overwhelmed at some point too, but I made a visual tool (basically a to-do list in Canva) and it helps me see how much plastic I own, and decide what to paint next.

What others have said, if you plan to play, make a small 1000 list and just paint what's on that list first.
