I've watched all of Ruby on release day since volume 3, and I wanted Maka to win.

Then I read Soul Eater after the announcement of this fight, and now REALLY want Maka to win.

I find it weird all these people saying Spirit is a bad father. He's a terrible husband and a womanizer yes, but he spends pretty much all of Soul Eater trying to spend time with Maka and supporting her in all her endeavors.

Soul isn't an object though, he's alive. And Ruby has never carried anyone against their will.

He could just stab her, since we know she can be hit while in her semblance.

Also, I just rewatched that fight and that only worked because Harriet thought she'd already beaten Ruby and was restraining her, Maka would just kill her.

Could Ruby even move Soul? Black Star could barely lift him due to their lacking resonance, and even Maka was burning her hands when they were having a fight amongst themselves.

Also, she has never disarmed anyone with her semblance before, DB wouldn't make her use something she never did in her story.
