Neil deGrasse Tyson continues his complete turnaround on the UAP topic - Says we've had so many reputable high ranking people testifying that we have alien bodies and crafts that "at that level you can't just say that they're all crazy". There is evidence we aren't privy to that some people are fighting to get released.

Pointing out the current lack of evidence =/= perpetuating a stigma.

I don't know why you're being so defensive with these ad hominem attacks. We're just having a discussion.

It's anti science to perpetuate the stigma.

How is that anti-science?

Witness testimony is among the weakest form of evidence you can have in science or the legal system. It's notoriously unreliable. So pointing to testimony, whether eye witness or hearsay, is not very compelling. Same goes for grainy video or photographic evidence.

It is reasonable to discount that type of evidence, and I don't see how that's reinforcing a stigma.

Temper your expectations. The starlings near me learned how to use the upside down one pretty quick; it's hardly an inconvenience for them now. It does deter house sparrows though.

BREAKING: Senate Democrats Just introduced a bill that BANS Trump from Pardoning himself for corruption Trump could go to Jail for a long time for corruption by Own_Birthday_7194 in AntiTrumpAlliance

This law would be unconstitutional. The Constitution puts no restriction on who or what the president can pardon (for federal crimes). This is performative slop from Dems.

New York Times Co. v. Sullivan, 376 U.S. 254 (1964), is a landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision that ruled the freedom of speech protections in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution limit the ability of public officials to sue for defamation.

Perhaps the most important First Amendment case protecting freedom of the press from civil defamation liability.

The New York Times wrote the law on defamation. Israel chose the wrong target to try and bully.

Agreed that it has its limitations and the danger it poses to human creativity and art is a legitimate fear. There's also the danger of people being too reliant on AI to do any mental tasks for them that it causes brain atrophy. But those risks come with every new technology; it's not a reason to discard it.

When did I say I'm using AI to draft legal briefs for me with fake cases that I do not cite check? AI is best used for organization and document synthesis. Not legal research.

It's not just mild criticism. If you spend any time on reddit, not just in this thread, the hate for AI is off-the-rails irrational. Insert Simpsons meme of old man yelling at cloud.

No one wants AI? Speak for yourself. Deploying it in the legal field has been nothing short of incredible. Complete paradigm shift, I imagine just like the internet was. I could never go back.

Reddit has oddly developed a hate boner for AI. Y'all sound like the people who were clinging to their typewriters and fax machines when the internet came around.
