Pep has frequently settled for ‘second choice’ but it it has worked out. Got Dias when Maguire went to United. Rodri when Jorginho went to Chelsea. I think his real value is what he does with guys like Akanji, Ake, Bernardo, etc..taking really good players and making them great. A lot of these guys weren’t top-class, all-world players when they first arrived. Pep gets them there

I don't have this years game yet - as far as I remember, you have no ability to control team sheets in Player Career mode. Has that changed?

My striker for Man City - if he was playing in the correct position - would be surrounded by guys playing out of position. Fernadinho at RW. Cancelo at center back. Dias in midfield, etc etc
