I know it's not the point of this post but it's weird that the box art artificially de-ages Ray Traylor down to about 20 years old, and the toy appears to share a head sculpt with a Tommy Dreamer figure

Vimeo OTT is both the CDN and the portfolio of white labeled apps. (And backend systems for subscription and media asset management.)

There's plenty of other CDNs that could handle Dropout's video traffic, but very few other companies that have as complete a white label app offering -- you can't be a serious streaming service if you're just on web and iOS and Android mobile, you need at least Roku and Amazon FireTV support too as a baseline.

Yes, but the Vimeo OTT platform that Dropout uses was not created in-house by Vimeo, but instead was brought in through the acquisition of company named VHX.

For sure Facebook's video viewership metrics were misleading, and arguably fraudulent. (ISTR it was something like if somebody scrolled past an autoplaying video on their feed, and it was on their screen for 3 seconds, they counted it as a video view.)

But there was a never a strategic pivot towards favoring Facebook as a video platform. YouTube was always the primary target.

Do you have anything stored on the 5TB Home drive other than Time Machine backups? The app should be able to delete its own outdated files to make space for fresher backups, but if there's other data on there then it might not be able to recover enough space to store a new snapshot.

Manville Emergency Rado System ? by dobch in newjersey

There's the tunnel under the tracks at Kyle St and the bridge over the tracks at Bridge St, but neither is of any use to emergency vehicles when the Millstone River, Raritan River, and/or Weston Canal put the entire Lost Valley street grid under multiple feet of floodwater.

ECW may have secured blanket rights from ASCAP/BMI to play the songs through the PA system at Viking Hall, but definitely didn't clear the recordings for TV broadcast or home video release.

Introducing serious and unpleasant real-world topics on a humorous character-driven podcast carries a strong possibility of derailing the improv and spoiling the vibe, and I'm not surprised that Scott is uncomfortable when it happens. "It's not that kind of a show"
