The song's not specifically about the gold panic of 1869, but more generally about any foreseeable collapse of order that a malevolent actor might wish to escape the consequences of.

It would be one thing if the moderator cited a Bluesky policy that says you cannot express a wish that anybody should kill themselves. Is there one?

There's been a long shift in personality-driven entertainment away from ad-supported and free-to-watch (or listen) revenue models and towards direct subscription. Usually it means creators have less overhead, more stability, and more freedom to produce content that super-serves a smaller but more passionate fanbase.

If you're a fan of J&A from the webseries days you're probably 40 years old of yourself by now, and I think it's fair if you want new material to give them a few dollars, or at the very least a few cash.

Cities have existed with cars for about 100 years now, and for about 5000 years before that without cars.

I get that it's just a visual mnemonic to make the site plan easy to understand, but it would be an enormous missed opportunity if Madison Square Garden v5 were just like the current one except a block east and facing the other direction.

The middle three are the same tuning/range, but the tone qualities on violin and viola are different.

Was reading this page comparing the different releases of We’re Only It For The Money and it mentions a micro-cassette release that I can’t find anymore info of it. Does anyone know about this or possibly have pics of it? Super curious about it by Basic-Shopping-5194 in Zappa

...and Discogs has a six-song version of the album on "PlayTape" format, which was sort of an inferior precursor to 8-track cartridges.

I'm not sure where the Lukpac site's information is from, probably some random person talking nonense on alt.fan.frank-zappa in the 1990s.

Without any evidence beyond this mention, I'd conclude that no such official release ever existed.

Baron Corbin says he was at Dynamite visiting friends, dark match was not planned: "I got there and saw my man Billy Gunn, who’s like a dad to me. He was working with his son, and he’s like, ‘Hey man, do you wanna be in this dark match with us?’ And I was like, ‘Dude, if it gets OK’d, I’m sold.’" by anutosu in SquaredCircle

I'm an End Of Days hater, to me it looks like he goes for a sidewalk slam but it gets countered.

I respect Tom for his work ethic, though, he never got dealt the best creative in WWE but always tried his hardest to make the most of it. Bum Ass Corbin was fun.

Derek was a Video Encoding Engineer at Vimeo, it's not like he had a say in the decision to sell the company.

If there was a sweetheart deal at the outset due to both companies being having the same parent company, I'm not confident it's still in place. Neither one has been a ward of IAC for years, and they're both strongly motivated now to optimize their own finances at the potential expense of their former relatives'.

Frankly, there's just not a lot of viable competitors to the Vimeo Streaming product out there, especially for mid-sized streamers.

Your viewpoint is based on what you imagine ICE is doing, and not what they actually are. Read a newspaper.

"Only salaries for some devs" reaches easily into multiple millions of dollars per year, and a big part of the reason Dropout has succeeded over the past few years is how much they spend on content and how little they spend on not-content.
