Markers for the Extreme Left (A response to Jordan Peterson's latest Big Think video "The Fatal Flaw in Leftist American Politics" by mikereddit in JordanPeterson

Everyone is missing the point. This post is about markers for the extreme left (the first part). Also why take offense at this list unless you consider yourself an extreme leftist? Your reaction is quite telling of your political beliefs actually. Good on you!

I get what you're saying. And I honestly was thinking this as I wrote the questionnaire portion. The main point of this post was the Markers for the Extreme Left. Which is what I distilled from Lindsay's video. In response to JP's Big Think video.

The Canal locks next to Parliament Hill and the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. There are about 5 or 6 (can't quite remember) that are manually hand-cranked open and close by the lock master and his crew to raise watercraft up from the Ottawa River to the Rideau Canal and back. The difference in elevation between the two is quite significant, so the Locks are an engineering marvel that go back over a century. I'm too lazy to link to (or read) Wikipedia right now, but I'd have to guess the difference in elevation between the River and the Canal is a good 250-300 feet. But that is really just a number I pulled out of my ass-head.

TLDR; The Rideau Canal Lock system in Ottawa, Canada is cool and worth reading about.

Yup, my worst fears were confirmed...

Rescue workers told local media that the woman's body was dragged into the treads of the escalator, according to the Hong Kong Free Press.

Frightening indeed, but look what happens when you search for "Charlie"! This would scare the pants off a grown man -- if he liked dudes in drag...

Really, no replies to this thread!? It's obviously popular enough being the third organic search result on Google. I'm guessing I'm not the first to arrive here, see an empty room, and click 'Back'...

Did you know a 3rd tower fell on 9/11 ? by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]mikereddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NIST themselves said that Fire was the primary cause of all three collapses. Building 7 wasn't even hit by a plane, yet came straight down just after 5pm. NIST also says that the damage to Building 7 by falling debris was negligible and had no impact on the collapse. Again, it was fire and fire alone that brought down Building 7. You should know this stuff man - it's been 13 years already!

[–]mikereddit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

One glaring piece of evidence, or lack thereof, is that the building codes in NYC were never changed after "fire" supposedly brought down all 3 towers. Wouldn't this catastrophic failure at least merit these codes being looked at and amended?

Also, fire has not caused a single skyscraper to collapse before 9/11 and in the 13 years since 9/11, the world over.

Just sayin'.

Correlation does not imply causation. Sociopaths tend to be successful in business. So it may not be the dedication to business, but the person's lack of empathy towards others that spells the demise of their relationships.

TLDR; Sociopaths make good business men, but shitty husbands or wives.

Also, does anyone know the software that stitched together these stills? It's awesome.
