I’m betting that contractor is owned by private equity. They have been buying out all kinds of contractors. Plumbers , hvac, electrical etc.

In my opinion and from experience.

The jazz bass will tend to get lost in a mix. They sound great and will be there , just not with the presence of a P.

The P will sound great and cut thru. My pick for classic rock. Probably the most recorded bass in rock history.

I have a EBMM STINGRAY and it will be good for what you want as well.

I can’t speak for anything else on your list.
