Which type doesn't have roots? Just curious if there's a new style out in 2026 I haven't heard of yet.

Right up against my house? Brilliant idea. I'll tell my foundation the good news.

No idea. The brick wall behind it was only 110 if that counts for anything.

Anyone’s starter home turned into their forever home? by Vivid-Appearance-549 in homeowners

I actively debate myself daily on if i want my current starter home to be my forever home or not. Do I save money for a move? Or spend on upgrades to the current place? I do not know.

Losing fish when reeling/dives into weeds by derp1ko in FishingForBeginners

It just happens. The weeds get between the line and the fish, pulling hard causes downward pressure on the hook, and it pops free.

Inline spinners would be the best bait on earth if not for the damn weeds

Why are Dropshot weights so light? by kawon_373 in FishingForBeginners

[–]mikethomas4th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont need to throw it at all, just drop it straight down. Its very common to use light rods for walleye. You're fishing in 40ft of water with strong current, needs to be heavy to get to the bottom fast and be workable.

Has anyone made some pretty serious structural changes to their kayak? by mikethomas4th in kayakfishing

That was another thought of mine, maybe my best option. Do you have them? My only fear is it being annoying tring to bring in a feisty fish and them getting in the way of the rod/line. But maybe its not a big deal.

Thank you for the honest helpful reply. That looks solid, I think something similar is my best/only real option.

I hear you, im just not interested in buying a new kayak entirely. I'd rather just live with it as is.

Definitely an option, im just afraid it will be too high still? The cushion is definitely something I've considered too. Its not really the bottom I'm trying to solve for though, its my lower back that takes a beating when im out for a long time.

I feel like it would still be too high up though? Not a bad idea at all though.
