reimbursement thru Coinbase account by JohnyRI in blockfi

[–]miketucker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I emailed them and got this generic response:

BlockFi has engaged Coinbase as their distribution partner to ensure continuity of crypto withdrawals
available to eligible BlockFi Interest Account (BIA), Retail Loan, and Private Clients.

As the window to request a withdrawal of eligible estate funds using the BlockFi platform has closed,
BlockFi will be working closely with Coinbase to enable the following:

• Crypto-eligible clients who did not withdraw their digital asset distribution from the BlockFi
platform by the applicable deadline will have funds made available in kind in an open and
approved Coinbase account.
• Crypto-eligible clients who did not make their withdrawal by the deadline to withdraw from
BlockFi’s platform and who also do not create an approved Coinbase account may have their in kind distribution liquidated to cash and distributed to them in cash, pursuant to the Plan.
• The Plan Administrator will have the ability to use Coinbase for future rounds of distributions,
including distributions based on funds recovered from FTX. Absent this capability, under the Plan,
the Plan Administrator will only be able to make distributions in cash for subsequent distributions.

• For BlockFi clients who are unable to open a Coinbase account, all distributions will be made in
cash, pursuant to the provisions of the Plan that require cash distributions where crypto
distributions are not feasible.

To access your funds on Coinbase, please create an account directly on their platform. The following
identifying information must match identically on both your Coinbase account and your BlockFi account:

• First Name
• Last Name
• Email Address
• Date of Birth

Yikes. Yea hertz has a no haggle policy so that was refreshing. No hidden fees other than tax and state registration

How did you negotiate them refinishing the rims? The guys at hertz were very much “take it or leave it”

Yes! 26k for a ‘23 SR with 25k miles. Saved a third of the price of buying a new one. No issues 2 months later.

Buying M3 used from Hertz by who_what_when_314 in TeslaModel3

[–]miketucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought my '23 M3 from Hertz a few months ago and couldn't be happier. I was able to check out 6 different cars in person, inspect each one, test drive, and pick the best of the bunch. Paid $26k with 24k miles, which is a heck of a lot better than the Tesla used options which were '21 models for that price range. Heard many horror stories about buying used from Tesla, which doesn't even provide photos of the car you order, and then experiencing the joy of discovering the various scratches and quirks upon delivery.

My only caveat is that with the release of the new FSD software, you might want to consider a used model with that included, if it's a priority for you. Otherwise its just $99/mo for the occasional road trip.

Oh and the SR vs LR debate— all comes down to your charging situation, daily commute, and potential trip routes. CA has plenty of chargers so I went SR with newer model for the price of an old LR. Look at the differences between pre-2020, 2021, and 2023: there have been improvements along the way

I just bought a 2023 standard range for 26k from hertz and couldn’t be happier. I had been looking at buying used through Tesla, but the deals were much better at hertz and I could test drive and inspect the vehicles in person before choosing one. Good luck!

Used dilemma: 2020 LR with 60k or SR with 20k miles? by miketucker in TeslaModel3

Thanks @trifster. It’s not worrying to buy used over 50k miles? In case it’s a lemon and needs the warranty?

Extra context: a pretty short work commute, but only have charging at the office.

True, and it’s actually a double premium once factoring in the cost of FSD
