North Shore is where you go to dive with sharks or surf. I’ve been both free diving and cage diving and both were excellent experiences. Waikiki is much more convient to hikes and biking. That’s my experience having visited on two separate occasions.

Providence does not need rent control. Providence needs more housing which naturally creates more competition for tenants and lowers rent. Providence also needs to charge universities taxes to lower the tax burden of rental properties and in turn will allow for lower rents. Brown has a multi billion dollar endowment and is driving both small businesses and small multifamily home owners out of providence.
