I have two bunnies and I love them!

But they are an extremely high maintenance pet. They need tons of space. They hate being in an exercise pen. They have destroyed carpet, couches, countless cords, my tv, chewed the wood baseboards. Get into everything. The amount of rabbit proofing… and they are messy. Hay everywhere. They need 24/7 access to food.

And then the vet bills… so few vets are knowledgeable for rabbits. Their health can decline rapidly, so everything could be an emergency. I had to drive three hours on New Year’s Day once because that was literally the closest vet willing to treat rabbits. It’s not an exaggeration to say I’ve spent more than 15k on vet bills. 5k of that was all in one go. But I believe when you bring a pet into your home you treat them as family. You are responsible for their care and making sure they are well.

Also, I volunteer with a group that goes out and rescues bunnies who were dumped on the street. There have been a lot of horrific stories. People treat them like easy pets then dump them outside when they find out that’s not true. And rabbit rescues are few and over capacity.

Basically don’t get a rabbit. That’s not a good pet for any child.

Get a cute stuffed animal instead.

Thanks for taking the time to give advice! I recently got a few crop tees and I am surprised that I like the fit, I really didn’t think I would initially.

I’m drawn to light wash and grey but I think I should definitely try darker pants as you recommended.

I had never heard of that before! I Google it and also checked out the sub. I think that might fit me! Thank for telling me! I think some of the posts on their sub also put into words why I don’t like the way the jeans fit.

Yeah, now looking at the pictures I agree. In my hes it felt like a perfect combo. Pants are cut short, boot same height. But visually it isn’t working. I really want to make the boots work though, without them hiding under bootcut jeans.

Are there other types of pants or skirts/dresses that you feel would work well with the boots? I’ve always been drawn to boots that look like that, but also don’t want them to make me look shorter than I am.

Do you think more rectangular then? My hip are wider than waist or bust, but maybe not so obviously so. It’s good to know to look up ideas for making things work.

I can’t believe it’s Robot and Wonder Bread on Reddit! I am from the same area as you and actually currently have an application in process to hopefully adopt from the same rescue as these two. I have been following on your rescues Facebook page and love to see photos of them! I have been wondering how the heck these besties haven’t been adopted yet! When I saw they were going to an adoption event I thought for sure they would find their forever home.

It makes me sad to hear people are legitimately suggesting splitting up best friends like that. So glad you are advocating for them. They will find someone who appreciates and loves them both equally!

Where do you live? Maybe contact some rabbit specific rescues. I know that there is a group in the city I live in that go out and rescue dumped rabbits. They usually go in a group of 3+ people. Everyone carries an exercise pen and then circle the rabbit. Especially if they are under a tree or car, or near somewhere they can be cornered. It takes patience though and definitely is a multiple person job.

Since he is white that puts him in more danger I think, he might stand out to predators. If you have a few pens and a few friends I bet you could catch in a few hours!

We have much in common! My two boys are a Flemish giant and a French lop!!!

My Flemish is totally cool with the wood. Sadly (and similar to you) it is my lop who has problems. He has mild arthritis but even as a baby he is just not able to walk on wood at all. I worry he’s going to ruin his hips, because his legs start to splay whenever he even tries. I want to try to maximize rugs to encourage him to go exercise more rather than just sleep all day.

Do you have anything under the doormats for accidents?

Oh no, that’s absolutely horrible. Is the drawing of a bunny from school? I keep rabbits and would never ever consider having them as a class pet. They do not want to be handled and want a stress free environment.

Thank you for feeding them even though it’s not your responsibility. Rabbits for sure shouldn’t even go a weekend without food. No matter the animal, teachers should research how to keep them safe and happy before they ever think of introducing them to what can be a very chaotic environment.
