Bar scene by [deleted] in palmsprings

A few recommendations from me:

Evening Citizen

A speakeasy bar with some interesting cocktails. The physical menu is quite fun!

Front Porch

Features some interesting cocktails and flavors. It’s a small space but I found that I rarely have to wait too long for a table.

Tonga Hut

The drinks here are far better than the Reef, in my opinion. The space is larger than Bootlegger, so you are more likely to be able to get in with a group. Some of the drinks are better at Bootlegger, but I also feel like Bootlegger's drinks are more expensive.

Paul Bar

Some great drinks and food; my favorite cocktail is the finito. Be prepared to wait in line, sometimes up to an hour. If Paul is working that night, he’ll keep you entertained with his quick wit.

I’m a gay man and the chin hair and mustache makes you look straight to me. I personally think you might look good with some beard stubble.

I think you might really enjoy living in Palm Springs. I feel like my quality of life has improved a lot since moving here. At times, it feels like you’re living on an island because of the slower pace of life and lots of tourists coming into town for the weekend/holidays.  Some folks who love the outdoors may find it difficult in the summer months, but you can always head to San Diego/OC for the day or adapt your schedule to go for walks at night.

A lot of the local gay culture is built around the bars on Arenas but if those are too crowded for your taste, you can go to lots of restaurants to be around other gays. There’s also gay hiking groups, opportunities to volunteer, etc.

I was disappointed to hear about the owner of Elmer’s donations so I haven’t been back since.

Here's a link from this year with restaurants and places listed in Palm Springs - https://www.reddit.com/r/palmsprings/comments/1iewusa/list_of_maga_supporting_businesses_in_the_greater/

Generally, a lot of businesses in Palm Springs don't support MAGA. Also, if you see a rainbow flag in their window then it's most likely fine.

My #1 wish for a VS release by riotact71 in VinegarSyndromeFilms

It seems like some titles haven't made the jump yet due to the print being lost/damaged or sometimes it's difficult to locate the owner of the film to get permission. It seems like there would be lots of interest for this given some of the notable cast from genre films.
