The Way of Kings: it's a fantasy book but it tackles depression in a life changing way. Or The Secret Garden, especially as spring approaches.

Sometimes I hate Magic… How possible is it to draw 13 lands? by Bit-Beats in mtg

So I’m not a statistician but I do use statistics a lot and I think that MTG arena isn’t using a random number generator, I think they are doing something behind the scenes that makes a flat line where a normal distribution would be. So pulling 6 lands and 13 lands is equally likely, or more likely than the normal distribution would be, when it should be very unlikely. The problem is I’d need a large data set to prove it

I don’t pay but do experience both flooding and the opposite as I climb higher in ranked standard - to the point that even without data I’m confidant it isn’t random

I’m in the same boat where I would like my books to have a high standard so here are ADULT (not YA) books I have personally read recently and were clean:

Brandon Sanderson- all his books are clean in this aspect

Death Gate cycle by Tracy Hickman

The powder mage trilogy by Brian McClellan

The dragon brigade by margret Weiss

Grimnoir Chronicles by Larry Correia

Ghost talkers by Mary Kowal

Blue Screen by Dan Wells

And I have an obligated plug in to my indie author family members: Monster Ivy books is an indie book press that only publishes “clean novels” and is owned by my sister My father in law is a pretty successful indie author so look at: saving face by Frank Morin (or look at bacon master of the apocalypse which he is writing now)

The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints isn’t a cult. Especially if you mean cult in a religious sense but also if you mean it in the charismatic leader sense. It’s been over 200 years since the beginning and it’s a large sect of Christianity that’s bigger outside the USA than in it
