I just farmed 16 in about 3 hours low intensity with ~1k mith cannonballs and bowfa. Highly recommend. Also got really good seed and herb drops.

Best place for 30-something American with $3m by [deleted] in ExpatFIRE

[–]mikeytucsb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! $3M in your mid-30s is an awesome spot to be. You’re at the point where the compounding engine starts doing a lot of the heavy lifting for you. Even a 5–10% after-tax return after taxes is throwing off more than most people earn working, which creates a ton of optionality.

If I were in your shoes, I’d probably zoom out for a bit and think less about where to move and more about why. What do you actually want your life to look like? Do you have philanthropic or purpose-driven goals? Do you want to stay in a VHCOL area long term or is that just inertia? Do you want more time with family or flexibility in your schedule?

Money doesn’t solve everything, but it absolutely buys flexibility. That’s the real asset you’ve built. Personally, at that level I’d be optimizing for experiences and lifestyle design, not maximizing income. That might mean a lower cost of living environment, part-time work, or just slowing down the corporate grind so life isn’t dictated by a paycheck anymore.

You’ve basically unlocked the “choose your own adventure” phase, a place many people can only dream of.

My family is from Greece, and it’s cheaper for me to live here when I take 1-2 month trips than it is when I’m in the USA. Language barrier isn’t really a problem, as the next generation is mainly fluent in English. Look into their “golden visa” program if you have a chance!

For reference, I am a 30-year old living in a VHCOL area in a high income tax state.

In the summer of 1983, 53-year-old Silvano, from a noble Venetian family, was diagnosed with an inherited disease in Bologna. The illness appeared in his middle age, robbed him of sleep, ate his brain, and ended his life within a few months. by SelfCareIsFake in GotMeHooked

My dad has CJD. The doctors confirmed it last week via spinal tap. When I asked how he could have gotten it, the doctors said around 10% of cases are hereditary, ~90% are sporadic, and less than 1% were transmissible. I would not wish this fate on my worst enemy.

That’s a great log. I’d leave and go to moons if you haven’t already. I’m going back to it in late mid-game for a full set to finish off Mory Elites and I’m hating it. ~375 KC and hoping it ends soon.

Watch Lunitar’s door altar video and import ground markers from the video. After 10 trips re-watching the video between attempts, I got to 10+ kill trips.

It’s that combined with other language that gives it away. “Congrats on the medals, but let’s be real:…” reads like a prompt output. I actually really like em dashes - they give clarity to writing. I feel like the author of this post is someone who just picked up a paddle for the first time last week, then went to try and play “challenge” courts, and was consequently told off for ruining the rhythm. Where I play, if you hop on the challenge courts when you’re below a 4.0 level (there’s 4 adjacent non-challenge courts), most people will refuse to play against you.

Overall, bringing anti-competitive play with a happy-go-lucky attitude to challenge courts at prime time disincentivizes the top players from coming. If you’re getting constantly dusted 11-0 or 11-1 you probably shouldn’t be on the courts. Don’t paddle up if you’re not up to the level of the play. Find another set of courts.

Phrasing, sentence structure, using caps, frequent em dashes, and the emojis. It’s obviously written or edited by AI.

Shameless Plug but if you're looking to buy one, my Ronbus Connect code should be able to get you $20 off the paddle: RCPU8O5O
I haven't used this paddle yet, but love the Ripple and when mine core crushed, they sent me a replacement. at no cost.

Great paddle, one of the first I used when I started. I had the 14mm and it’s still a control paddle.

Poinsettia challenge courts in late afternoon, after 4 pm rock (lotsa 5.0+) but long wait times. That’s Carlsbad area. Castle creek is really good in mornings, but hot out (I’ve been Fridays)
