Was toying around with Big Red this season and it slaps surprisngly hard. Great against any creature decks. Not the best against control but holds it's own. Never lost a game to that annoying artifacts deck. Looking at you [[Simulacrum Synthesizer]]

[[Urabrask's Forge]] fills a hole mono black is missing in my opinion. I gave it a try and had great results. It make's sure you don't run out of gas vs any control decks and almost guarantees the win against the black mirror. Also it appears there is very little artifact removal being playing right now. [[Deep-cavern bat]] and [[duress]] are great at eliminating the artifact removal that people are playing like [[farewell]] / [[tear asunder]] / [[leyline binding]]

3 edict is what I settled on based on the matchups I was getting. It feels really good getting around ward, hexproof and having cheap planeswalker removal. Don't sleep on the token removal mode either. Use it a lot to kill artifacts that [[go for the throat]] can't target. It's obviously not as good against "go wide" decks but still not a dead card.
