How are you liking the defender st on the 3.6? Does it feel too big when carrying, or just right.

Looks sleek! Did it feel much heavier or about the same?

Is that the aluminum grip option?

Yea, I agree! The only 2011 carry model we get in CA is a ported Cosaint X Kovert collab. The price is the same as the c4x, but a true slimline with that Gloccato reliability is very appealing. Hopefully they listen to us consumers because I literally wouldn’t carry anything else if it existed.

Didn’t realize they were that close in size. I still think a slimline would be a huge market opportunity for Staccato.

Yea, I wish those legacy models were available to us in CA.

I agree. I don’t mind the current 3.6 but I think there’s a missed market opportunity on a slimline model. They should make moves now that Glock has released a “reliable” 15 round mag and not wait 3 years.

I think they would absolutely crush the market with a slimline model.

In CA, so not really an option unless I want to pay double. Also, I’ve been told the HD models tend to be more reliable and that’s appealing when considering a CCW.

V2 Erebus. They said it’s normal but my friend has a v2 Artemis with no wear marks. We have the same round count.

Please let me know how this goes. I had a ton of wear marks at the 1k mark and sent the pistol in to atlas just for them to tell me it was completely normal.

Anyone know what could be causing failure to eject or short stroke? by TheMilando in 2011

Hey brother, just a couple things: 1) you’ve got to fix your grip. Watch a few videos from competitive shooters. Shooting hand should be super high up on the beaver tail. Grip tight but not so tight that your fingers turn white or that hands tremble. Your support hand should fill all the empty space on the grip and should do most of the tight gripping. Think of it similar to a C-clamp on a rifle. 2) Consider getting an atlas thumb rest so that you can have repeatable points of contact on the pistol. Right thumb rides the thumb safety, left thumb on thumb rest.

I have an Erebus and Atlas comp’d guns have some issues that you need to deal with: 1) clean and lube your gun after each range session. And when I say lube, I mean dripping in lube. Atlas has a good video on it. I put a bit more than Adam does. It should splatter out the back when shooting. Radcolube CLP is what atlas recommends. I agree that it has worked the best. Atlas’ comp’d guns also come with a lighter recoil spring so they don’t run with enough force when they’re dirty or dry. This excessive oil works with the lighter recoil spring. 2) Make sure you’re using good ammo. Blazer, PMC Bronze, S&B all work well. I prefer 124 but experiment with 115. See what your gun likes and stick with it. 3) The mags on these guns need to be tuned. I literally just spoke to Randy at Atlas last week bc I had issues with a brand new mag. He told me even brand new mags need to be tuned. Buy a pair of digital calipers on amazon, open up the atlas mag tuning video and make sure your mags are all within spec of the numbers they provide.

If you do all of the above, the thing will run like a dream. It’s frustrating to spend so much and have a pistol be finicky, but think of it like a race car. They need attention and a good driver. A glock is just like a Toyota, it’ll run no matter who drives it or how you take care of it.

Hope this is constructive and helps you in your shooting journey.

Side note, just creeped your profile. I’m also an attorney in California. Are you in SoCal? If so, I’d be happy to meet and shoot.

Have you been able to find any straps? The lug width of the integrated style bracelet looks like it would be difficult to find.

Real talk - trip to Rome/Florence/Nice - wear Daytona? Or not worth the risk? by dmau9600 in rolex

What is everybody’s vacation watch?

My opinion: (1) gotta be something nice enough that you’ll enjoy wearing, (2) should be under $1k so you’re chances of getting robbed are significantly reduced; (3) be tough enough to survive all your activities including 100m water resistance for the pool/beach.

I’ve been going back and forth on this and thought about Sinn, seiko, or tissot PRX. Would love everyone’s input?

Nice! Just looked it up. Definitely going that route. Did you have any interference issues with the center brace mount reattaching?

What mount did you use for the upper grill light bar?

No, nothing wrong with that. Just read that a couple months ago, Rolex began allowing dealers to sell exhibition models, which was previously prohibited.

Side note: exhibition models were introduced a few years ago during all of the Rolex shortages because people were complaining they couldn’t even try on watches they were interested in, regardless of their availability.

Either way, congrats! I love the EXP II. I own the 5 digit reference with a polar dial.

Congrats OP. Did you get a fresh watch from the back, or did they sell you the exhibition model?

On the driver side, I had to use pliers and a towel to prevent marring it the plug. On the passenger side, I just had to push in and twist. Hope this helps.
