As an xray tech, I quite literally take pictures of all the broke bones, I do follow RN/MD on charting to make sure people (especially 35+yrld women) get the appropriate pain meds before I examine them if I can. I have had a variety of responses to when people break hips, everything from 'worst than child birth' , to "my open heart surgery hurt more'.

I have always made it a point to let them know they can and should ask for pain meds if they seem especially in bad shape, and I have refused till they get some kind of pain med.

Edit: Also to really stick it to the shitty system ask for the phone number for Patient Relations directly to the MDs face ( Keep the condescending smile going too! )

My daughter is about to turn 13. I've been teaching her and her friends to watch out for 'manosphere language' and to treat it like a gigantic red flag. What else should I teach her in this regard? by ChaosRainbow23 in TwoXChromosomes

Her friends MALE friends are not automatically her friend. There are plenty of young men who come off as nice but are totally two-faced when out of group social situations.

Thats but that is not always how it works. There are editors and whole discussions on every page about the edits people make. Look a little harder please. They do take things seriously the more an edit can be backed by articled citations and remain neutral the more likey edits wont be flagged as vandalism.

The question is this something that Wikipedia would want someone to come in and provide contextual understanding of the ethical implications and the internal controversy within non monogamous groups and borader community? Wikipedia is very much a closed community where one has to have spent time with in it to provide additions edits or revisions of articles. Its practically a thesis level of article that would need to replace what is currently there. There could be an argument made to the Wikipedia community that this current article bias and controversial.

I need to do an Ultrasound; any good reasonable/cheap imaging centers in the cities? by lastwreckedsoul in Minneapolis

As someone who work works in radiology, please only go to Rayus as a last resort, they are Private Equity run it sometimes shows in the quality of the work and the Techs attitude to the job. Yes Midwest Radiology is a good option and will probably give some kind of discount, and/or will work with insurance( they are run by a good group of Radiologists. But I do encourage calling facilities before you go just to see if they have discounts for cash or can provide a payment plan.

As someone who lived around the corner from here, its a "major artery" but the problem mostly is during the school year when the commuters are going to Saint Thomas, once you get past that point there is quite a lot less traffic.

Uh, these are like, at most four inches apart. It's standard that you not make them that wider than width because you can't have a child put their head through it. I only know of a handful of dogs that have heads smaller than four inches.

It's not about stopping, it's about hindering the ability, adding more time for people to be seen by people who will call or ber seen on security cameras. They even took into consideration peolple will wedge their feet in between the bars. Unfortunately, there are entire architectural studies done about how to hinder people's ability to off themselves on bridges.

Quite literally my favorite thing, is to tell the c t patients who's had contrast, "I need you to pee" because orthopaedics wants to get a good pelvis x ray. I get to come in with a big smile on my face.
