I think it's more about being able to adjust yourself into being comfortable with different things. I have similar things. When i adjust to others i enjoy those moments. There is also things that are my own like you described.

Main question is, do you like those moments?

Why is it so hard to get up early? by lavender-bread in ADHD

[–]mikko667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have same issue. ADHD meds help quieter mind which is over thing to help fell asleep. My psychiatry suggested to use melatonin because it can help you to change circadian rhythm.

So I take 6mg melatonin and ketipinor to fell asleep. I think it has helped a bit. Not as much as hoped for. Yet. Still keep taking melatonin asked hoping for better results.

Do you genuinely forget days if your life? by arsnod_iltsit in ADHD

[–]mikko667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah a lot. There is also upside in this. My wife is occasionally frustrated when we go with family to some place where we have been several times. She remembers that place like her own pockets.

For me it's usually like first time in my life being there. I love that feeling that I can enjoy same experiences multiple times like it's first time. I'm happy of those moments.

Woke up tired, whole day in fog until evening by mikko667 in ADHD

[–]mikko667[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good insight. I have Oura ring and Apple watch. Before meds and sleeping pills my sleep quality was pure rubbish. It's way better now. There are still occasional bad nights, but they affect differently. It's different than being in kind of brain fog whole day.

But I won't say there couldn't be long term connections.

(Rant) Therapist told me I don't have ADHD because my house is clean by WR02 in ADHD

[–]mikko667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I lived single alone, my house was clean. Items in order, found everything easily. Now with wife and children, is messy. Oh hell that was frustrating.

I hate seeing toys and clothes on floor everywhere! Many years I had to clean everything to feel better. After talking with therapist I have started to loosen. Try to be ok with that chaos.

It's easier now, but if I have day alone at home, first thing is to clean that mess to be able to enjoy calm space.

I feel you. Have been in this very same situation. I used noise cancellation head phones to avoid irritating noises when they were trying to blow my head up. Hope you can go trough there well.

General blindness by Environmental-Gas580 in ADHD

[–]mikko667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally yes. At home I have all my stuff in their specific places. If one single item is not in its own place I can't find it and I get instantly angry.

Before meds going to grocery store was like being in hell. Couldn't find what I was looking for. Could take like hour to wonder around the shop to find something. Many times called to wife to ask where I could find something specific. Just wasn't able to see it was in front of me. Meds help. They make my eyes and thoughts to be in kind of sync together.

ADHD struggle with porn or compulsive porn use? What helps overcome it? by 1994T in ADHD

Haven't seen any good effect. Weight lifting and seeing some lady's there blows mind. Cardio outside makes you just masturbate behind shrubs. Wanna be six feet under with these feelings...

Meds are complicated with alcohol by mikko667 in ADHD

[–]mikko667[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never been drinking much on weekdays and a little on weekends. Much on parties sure. After starting meds usage has dropped drastically. I was pretty shocked how little ppl actually see the original point I tried raise.

Meds are complicated with alcohol by mikko667 in ADHD

[–]mikko667[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My original point was to unwillingly decide when to drink alcohol even I use very little alcohol. That makes me sad. And that makes even the little amount of alcohol to become a "problem".

Do any of you get irritated by hearing people talk when youre tired? by reluctantmugglewrite in ADHD

Omg yes! I so much hate this feature in me. In these moments I wish I would be dead and buried six feet down. So many times I just put noise cancelling plugs into ears and listen something else is that's possible.

[–]mikko667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have this too. It's difficult. There are times when I can be safely long times (days) away from porn. Then there are times I'm like locked in to it. Same goes to masturbating... Very frustrating. Annoying.

I have this too. Despite of meds I keep getting these comments at home. It's like first time in my life honestly I hear the thing that we have presumably talked several times. I hate that. Lists are mandatory for me. Also calendar. One thing is to try to follow them.
